     I mentally groaned as the four year old clung to my legs. It was Liv's niece that she had to watch  for the night. While I only had to work four hours on Saturday usually, Liv got Saturdays and Sundays off completely. But because of the holidays, she was off until after New Years, like me. So her brother asked her to watch his child for the night while him and his wife had a date night. It was Friday now and tomorrow was New Years Eve. Luckily, JJ was supposed to be here any second to pick me up. Inconveniently, Liv had went to the bathroom so I was in charge for like the two minutes she would be in there. The doorbell sounded and I sighed, reaching down and picking up the child, placing her on my hip. "Kenz can I have some sweets?" She asked, smiling sweetly. I giggled as I made my way to the front door. "That's a question for Auntie Liv." I smiled. I opened the door and JJ raised his eyebrows at me. "Something you need to tell me?" He asked, pointing to the small child on my hip. "Hell no. This is Liv's niece." I said, shaking my head quickly. "You said a bad word!" She yelled, putting her hand over her mouth. "Crap sorry." I shrugged. "Liv's just in the bathroom. Come in." I said, opening the door wider for JJ. "Is this your boyfriend?" She asked, pointing at JJ. JJ laughed lightly. "How do you even know what a boyfriend is?" I asked as I walked into the living room, JJ following me. "Mummy told me. I want one. When will I get boobs?" She asked as she stared at me expectantly. JJ laughed even harder now. "Why on Earth would you want boobs?" I asked. "So I can get a boyfriend." She said, laughing at JJ, who was now laughing uncontrollably loud. "Yep that's my cue to leave. Liv! Hurry up! JJ's here!" I yelled. "Coming!" I heard her voice as she rushed into the living room. "Okay you two have fun. Use protection. By the way Kenz you look beautiful." She said quickly as she took her niece from my arms. "Yeah thanks. Bye. Love you. I have some sweets in my room she can have if you want." I said as I grabbed JJ's wrist and drug him out of the room quickly. He had said this date was meant to be a bit more formal than our last date so I was wearing a simple black dress that was about knee length and some black flats. I also had a nice coat I was wearing but I would take it off before we got to where ever we were going. "It's interesting to see how you handle children." JJ laughed once we got in his car. I rolled my eyes. "Children and I do not get along at all." I muttered. He chuckled. "Why's that?" He asked as he started the car and put his seatbelt on. I reached behind me and grabbed my own seatbelt, bringing it across my chest and buckling it. "I'm too nice to them. I give them whatever they want. Then I feel bad when I say no and they just think they can get anything from me." I said. "So you get along with them just find you just spoil them." He said. "Yeah basically." I said, giggling. "You do look beautiful by the way." He said. JJ had given me many compliments in the past, and it still caused a blush to rise to my face. "You don't look bad yourself. At least you're not a shower curtain." I smirked. "Oh piss off." He rolled his eyes. I giggled. "So where are we going on this fine evening?" I asked as I looked out of the windshield. "I found this really nice Italian place in the middle of town." He explained, nodding to himself as he did. "Oh my God I love Italian food!" I said excitedly, rubbing my hands together. "Oh really? Me too." He said while smiling at me. "I think it's very strange how there are things we still don't now about each other when we talk so much." I said, narrowing my eyes at him. "I was just thinking the same thing! Like I don't know what your favorite food is or your favorite movie or when you have your period or your favorite position in bed. It's weird. Especially because we spend so much time in bed together." He said while shaking his head. I rolled my eyes, looking away from him. He just had to make everything sexual. "Well my favorite food is pizza because I'm fat on the inside, my favorite movie is 'Remember The Titans' (I cry every time I watch it. Not even joking. Highly recommend it.), I'm supposed to have my period in like a week, and I don't even know the last one." I said, mentally checking off the list of things he had said. "Alright. Good to know I guess." He said with a small laugh. "What are some things I don't know about you?" I asked. "Those are for me to know and for you to find out." He smirked. I giggled at how he was trying to be all smooth and mysterious. "Whatever you say." I said, still smiling. I hope this date goes really well. Really well.
