The five sat around the table with a candle lit. Nathaniel was writing down things to take with us to Perdition.

"We can't take teddies," he said blankly.

"Just the one," Alya mumbled."Why can't we?"

"We don't need them, we need to start acting like soldiers," Nathaniel said."This isn't a picnic guys, one mistake and it is all over."

"Well can we take my mum's jewellery?" I asked. Some of her jewellery was very special and had been past down from generation to generation.

"Yeah and family photos," Alya suggested.

"Look if we take teddy bears, jewellery and photos we might as well bring my dad's soccer trophies."

"What about wire cutters," Chloe suggested.

"Now THAT is a good idea," Nathaniel exclaimed, making Chloe blush.

What we didn't know was while this was happening, a helicopter was searching the area and coming closer to the house we were in.

Nino got up an tried to turn on the tap in the kitchen. It began to make a really loud rattling noise. Alya rolled her eyes.

"Turn if off Nino!" She yelled over the noise.

"Nah I can fix it!" Nino said, crouching down and holding a candle to the pipes. I got up in frustration to help him out. While Chloe and Nathaniel kept listing things down.

"GOT IT!" Nino shouted and the rattling stopped.

But it wasn't completely silent. The distant sound of a helicopter hovering above us was heard. We all stood there in fear.

"What's that," Chloe whispered.

Nino and Nathaniel quickly blew out the candles."We've forgot to have someone on watch," I muttered.

Chloe peered outside,"don't go to the window." Nathaniel ordered. We looked over at the hallway, light was shining brightly through it. We immediately knew a search helicopter was circling the house."Spread out! Go to different rooms and stay hidden!"

I ran into the living room and ducked under the glass door. The helicopter was going around the house, shining a bright search light through the windows. I heard a scream coming from Alya,"it's here!"

Nathaniel held his gun in his arms and squat when the beam of light hit the kitchen. I slowly stood up and peered around the side of a curtain. The helicopter suddenly turned and the light went straight through the room. I quickly stood behind the curtain.

The wind from the helicopter blew the curtains around,"NATHANIEL!" I shouted.

"MARINETTE! STAY STILL!" He shouted back, trying to aim at the helicopter. But the helicopter moved away.

I breathed heavily and the others entered the room."Good thing you're so skinny," Nathaniel said.

The helicopter returned and the five of us were seen. Alya, Chloe, Nino and I fell to the floor but Nathaniel stood there. He aimed at the light on the helicopter and shot three bullets, taking it out. It lifted.

Another light was seen, this time red and the smell of smoke wof red through the air,"flares. There marking the house," I said.

"Thanks a lot Nathaniel, they no were here now!"Nino shouted, anger in his voice.
