Hours turned into days.

Days into weeks.

Harleen would eagerly await for the chance to see him. Their weekly appointments were what she lived for. Seeing his eyes light up when they talked, as he told her stories. She had forgotten what she was there for.

What book? This was bigger.

She was falling for him. No. She HAD fallen for him.

Joker, on the other hand, was pleased with the progress of his plan. Things were coming together easier than he thought.

Girls. So easy. You hit them straight in the heart.

Still, there was something about her that drew him into her. There was something beneath her exterior that he knew was there, suffocated beneath what she needed to be and what she wanted.

He'd noticed she would laugh hysterically at the most morbid things he'd tell her: body counts, gruesome murder details, weapons of choice.

She seemed to have a little bit of joker in her.

His mind raced once again. Oh I wanna put a little bit of joker in her...

He shook it off when he noticed her undoing her hair, her golden locks falling to her shoulders. Past her shoulders. She was a marvel. To his disappointment, she tied it back up and grabbed her pencil once again from between her lips.

"Tell me, Harleen, do your friends call you Harley?" He asked with a smile.

"Oh, I don't have many friends.." She said blushing, avoiding his gaze.

"Well, Harley, you got one now." He grinned.

She smiled back at him and extended her hand towards his jacket. She brushed her fingers lightly over where his arm would be, looking into his eyes.

He met her gaze and looked at her seductively, a smile creeping on his face.

She bit her lips and immediately retracted her hands. At that moment, one of the guards came in and proceeded to move joker back to his cell. Harleen's gaze never left his until he was out of the room.

She sighed and grabbed her things, slowly walking out. Her knees reduced to jello.
