Liam’s POV:
I felt nothing. I wasn’t in pain I wasn’t sad or hurt. I simple felt nothing. There was eternal darkness in every direction. I could hear my heart beating. It was loud and echoed around the room, Well that was if I was in a room. I remembered crashing my car but after that my mind was blank. If this was heaven I didn’t want to die, I knew I was still alive. I raised my hand and placed it on my chest and felt the thumb, thumb, thumb that reassured me that I was in fact still alive.
I took my hand off my heart and then I saw a blinding light racing towards me like a train but I was frozen to the ground. My heart began to race and then bang the light hit me. I opened my eyes to see that I was in my old house. The familiar smell of my mother baking filled the sitting room. I could hear my father working on a car in the garage he ran beside our house. Then I saw my brother and I race into the sitting room.
I was caring a football. I was about 10 and my brother was 8. We ran in and jumped onto the couch. I heard my mother call out to us that we were to take off our muddy shoes or we wouldn’t get any cookies. I never forgot that memory; it was one of last I had of my family being happy.
I stood there watching as me and my brother played with our Lego. My mother came into the room with a plate of cookies and some milk. Of course there were only 5 cookies which ended in me and my brother fighting over the last one. We wrestled on the ground as my father came in and took the last cookie.
“HEY!” my brother and I said at the same time. My father ruffled our hair. We stopped fighting and went back to playing with our Lego. My mother came over and kissed my father on the lips and said she was going down the shop to get some milk. I said good bye to my mother not knowing it would be the last thing I ever said to her.
I followed her out of the house. She couldn’t see me put I had to know what really happened that day. I saw to guys get out of their car as they saw my mother go into the shop. They pulled masks over their faces and pulled out a gun. They entered the shop. One of the men went to the till and the other went to look for my mother.
When he found her he pulled her hair and knocked her to the ground. “This for what your husband did to my brother” he said before shooting her in the chest. I stood there and watched as my mother died alone. The two men left the shop and drove off in their car. They were never caught. I knelled down and took my mother’s hand. A tear escaped my eye. “I love you mom” I told her but I knew she didn’t hear me this had happened 11 years ago.
The scene changed and I was at a grave yard. I saw my father in a black suit. He was holding mine and my brother’s hands. We were both dressed in black suits too. I watched as my mother’s coffin was lowered into the grave. My brother broke down in tears and my father let go of my hand and held him tight a tear escaping his eye. No tears came from my eyes I felt numb, dead inside.
The scene changed again but this was the worse memory of my life. I had tried many times before to get it out of my head but for 3 years when I slept I thought about. I only knew half of it but today I was going to see the whole thing.
I was back in my house. It had been eight years since my mother’s death. I had joined my father’s gang two years ago and my brother had joined about two months ago. I saw my father making a cup of tea going over so paper work from the garage. I had learned that at the back of the garage there was a club house were the club meetings were held.
Three men burst the front door open and came up to my father. I knew them; they were from the other gang in the town The Blood spiller’s. Out of the three men their leader was there Bobby Horan. He had Anthony Parker and Carl Roche with him two other members who had a vendetta against my father since my brother Tommy had killed Anthony’s son Kevin.
