Chapter 9 ~ Love

Sarah’s POV:

I was running, running for my life. Faster than I have ever ran before. I ran like there was no tomorrow. I was vaguely aware of my surroundings but I knew I was close to home. It had begun to rain and bits of my hair had come lose from my pony–tail and were now sticking to my face with sweat. I wasn’t sure how long it had been since I had run from Liam’s house.

It was a blur, I had burst open the door. I saw a car and a man. I wasn’t sure if it was Liam or not but I just ran. Ran for home, I thought I was being followed but I didn’t dare turn and look no I just kept running, running for my life…

Liam’s POV:

I wasn’t sure where I was driving to exactly but I knew that I had to find Sarah I had to protect her. I swore to myself that if found her, no not if when I found her I would keep her safe. I would protect her with my life. It was dark now and had begun to rain. I had driven by her house and around that area but she was nowhere to be seen.

I had now driven out of the town and was driving down a narrow country road. Along the sides of the road there was a steep hill and then forestry. I pulled my phone out of pocket and dialed her number for what felt like the millionth time that night and for the millionth time it remained unanswered. I filled with so many emotions, rage at Zayn, I was worried that I would never see Sarah again, regret, why did I leave her alone I wanted to protect her but I had just left her alone and helpless.

She brought out the worst in me. She made me so mad when she refused to cooperate but when I see her I don’t know what it is there a little voice in the back of my head screaming at me. Telling me to just stop, stop denying my feelings stop hurting her stop trying to cope with everything, Tommy, my family, London but most of all it was telling me, screaming at me to tell her the truth. I didn’t know a lot but there was one thing I did know the truth could hurt, everyone wants the truth but the truth can break you, make you something you’re not, someone you’re not. It can sneak up on you and hit you right in the gut and then run away. No I had to kept the truth from Sarah at least until I knew she could handle it.

I grabbed my phone of the seat and dialed her number again but this time she answered.

“Hello” she said her small voice echoed. I could her she was scared but she was unsure. Relief filled my heart and the rage lifted inside me. I loosened my grip on the stirring wheel. I knew she was safe but I wasn’t. The next few minutes happened so fast.

“Sarah, where are you? Are you ok?” I asked searching for answers.

“Liam, I’m, I’m fine” she stuttered out “why would you care?” she asked.

There it was again the rage. “Sarah, where are you? I have been looking everywhere for you! That man from last night was outside your house this morning and then Zayn said he saw him outside my place and I thought he had taken you! I thought I would never see you again!” I shouted back at her.

“That wasn’t you following me?” she said back be for continuing “I ran from your place and I thought it was you following me!”

“Sarah where are you now?” I asked I had to help her!

“I’m at home, where are you?” she asked. It had begun to rain a lot heaver.

“I’m only about 10 minutes away, I’m on a narrow road out of the town I will there soon stay where you are ok?” but before she could reply I saw two bright light a car came speeding around the corner.

Driving straight at me I swerved to avoid contact. The car skidded and chipped off the other car. After that I don’t know what happened but the car ended up upside down. I was in pain and the last thing I heard was Sarah.

“Liam, Liam are you ok?” she asked and then the line went dead…

Stranger’s POV:

I had been drinking and speeding. The car had veered of onto the middle of the road. Suddenly there was another car it swerved, but still hit of my car. It went down the side of the hill tumbling until it hit a tree and came to a stop still upside down. I stopped my car and got out. There was no way whoever was in the car could have survived. I got back into my car and drove off.

Sarah’s POV:

 I had got to my house and locked my door. I knew someone had been following me but the only stopped for a minute and then drove off. I saw my phone on the table and it began to ring. I answered it.

(It’s Liam and there conversation is in Liam’s POV)

“I’m only about 5 minutes away, I’m on a narrow road out of the town I will there soon, stay where you are ok?” I heard Liam say. I knew where he was talking about. Then I heard a loud bang and a lot of noise. I knew something had gone horrible wrong.

“Liam, Liam are you ok?” I asked I began to panic. Then the line went dead. I got up and opened the door. I began to run. I ran to Liam.

I got to the road and I saw there had defiantly been a car crash. I ran to the edge of the road and saw Liam’s car. I ran down the hill and over to his car. It was upside down and there was smoke coming from the car. I tyre had come off and was on fire.

I saw the window had shattered and I saw Liam. He had a cut on his head. I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and called for an ambulance. I hung up and put my phone on the ground. I began to cry. I saw Liam move and groan.

He opened his eyes and said “Don’t cry”

“Liam you’re going to be okay, There’s an ambulance on the way okay, you’re going to be fine” I said as more tiers came streaming down my face.

“Sarah, I’m sorry for everything, end if I get out of this I will leave you alone” he said and then he began to cough. It hurt me to see him like this and that’s when I realised how I felt about Liam. I loved him; well I think love might be a bit of a strong word.

“No Liam, I like you I really do” I told him and he smiled. I saw his eyes began to close.

“No Liam open your eyes, it going to be okay” I told him but he did move. I began to cry again. “Liam no don’t go I need you Liam, I, I love you Liam. You can’t die” I moved closer to him and cupped his face in my hand. “Liam, Liam” but there was no response. I kissed him but again Liam didn’t move. I saw flashing lights. I looked up and saw the ambulance had arrived but I feared it was too late…
