Love, Revenge and False Promises[1D Fanfiction]

Chapter 4~ The Party

“Niall what do you mean he’s dead?” I asked. “He died about an hour ago and my mom was trying to call me but I was playing in the match and she is coming to get me, she has booked the flights and I have to go home and pack. We are leaving early tomorrow” he said while he was drying his eyes. “My mom will be here in a minute, I have to meet her in the car park” he told me. When Niall and I got to the car park we saw his mom waiting. I hugged Niall and he got into his car and they drove off.

When I got back to the pitch I saw Charlie talking to Mr King her English teacher and the football coach. When they saw me they stopped talking, “Sarah what happened is Niall ok? Where did he go?” Mr King asked me. “His brother in Ireland died so his mom came to get him because they have to get back home and pack, they’re getting an early plane back to Ireland tomorrow” I told them. “Oh, I will go and tell the rest of the team” and with that Mr King walked off. I looked around to see if I could see the man I saw earlier but there was no one here except me and Charlie.

 Everyone else was either gone to the after party or gone home to get ready for the party. “So where’s the party?” I asked Charlie. “The party is at the other Football pitch down the road” Charlie told me “and we’re going!” She added. “Well I’m not, there is no way my mom is going to let me go to a party” I told her. “Your 17, any way your mom's not going to be home tonight, she rang me and told me she couldn’t get through to your phone. She told me to tell you to ring her and that she wouldn’t be home tonight, something about talks in work and a business trip coming up soon, I don’t know I can’t remember, any way the main thing is she won’t be home tonight so you can come with to the party and don’t you dare say you have nothing to wear because when I was shopping I found the perfect dress for you and I bought it, you can thank me later but know we have to get back to my place and get ready.” She finished as she started to push me towards her car. When I got in I rang my mom.

My mom told me she wouldn’t be home tonight, but she said nothing about a business trip. When I got back to Charlie’s house we went up to her bed room. She did my make-up for me. She is amazing at doing hair and make-up. When she finished my make-up she curled my hair and handed me a red dress. “Go put it on, oh and these” she said as she handed me a pair of black heels. I went into her bathroom and got changed.

I looked at myself in the mirror, I looked good! But oh my god this dress was way to short my mom would kill me if she saw me in it. I looked at the heels I would never be able to walk in them. I put them on and for once I was tall. “Charlie this dress is way too short” I shouted from the bathroom. “Come on out and let me see” she shouted from her room.

 I opened the door and walked into her bedroom. Charlie had her make-up and her hair straightened, she was wearing an emerald green dress. “Sarah its fine and you look beautiful” she told me “now come on we’re going to be late if we don’t leave now” she continued. Charlie’s mom drove us down to the party and Charlie told her mom that we would get a taxi home, with that Charlie’s mom drove off.  

There were loads of people there, but I couldn’t help but feel guilty, here I was at a party while Niall was packing to go home to Ireland because his brother was dead. Oh my god now that I think about it I shouldn’t be here celebrating that the team won, without Niall. I mean he scored the winning goal! “Charlie I shouldn’t be here I am going to go home” I shouted to her over the music. “What? Why?” she asked me. “I mean without Niall” I started to say but she cut me off.

“Sarah do you think Niall would want you sitting at home thinking about the great party that is going on down the road or worrying about how he’s feeling! NO! He would want you to have fun, celebrate the fact that Niall made us win the cup! Celebrate when he can’t!” she told me “Now come on I will by you some shots” and with that she walked off to the bar and I ran after her.
