I think me and Kay had our first fight she got mad and ran away. Which I understand but if this is going to work out she has to understand that isn't going to work for me. I am not required to chase after her every time she has an issue. I get that she's mad because I wouldn't tell her about what's going on but everything I do is for her safety and mine. If the enemy knew I had a girl friend they would hurt her. I'm saying that she's my girlfriend yet but you know what I'm trying to say. I care about her so I can't let someone get the chance to hurt her. I really wanna tell her but right now I'm trying not to get attached to her but it ain't working. I can't be the thug that fell in love not saying that I love her but I can't let her make me soft. After watching Kay storm out the way she did I needed to clear my head the only way I knew how. I ran out right after her and jumped into my car. I quickly sped to my parents house. "MOM" I yelled as I swung the door open. "BOY YOU BETTER STOP YELLING IN MY HOUSE! JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE PAYING BILLS DON'T MEAN I WON'T BEAT YOU." She yelled back at me. "Sorry mom, I just really need to talk to you." I said as I found her in the kitchen cleaning some collards. "Well, spit it out then son." My dad said as he came into the kitchen. "There's this girl and I think I really like her. Like she seems different guys but...." "But what son If she's different then what's the problem, and why isn't she here?" My dad said a little over excited. Probably because I've only brought a girl over twice. And they didn't end too well if you understand what I'm trying to say. "She doesn't know what you do huh?" My mom said as she went to wipe her hands. "Look child I'm gonna tell you this one time and one time only Okay? If you think she is the one then she should be able to handle the truth about what it is you actually do. It's not like this is going to be your career anyways it's just something you felt you had to do to keep food on the table and a table to eat it on. And if she's as special as that twinkle in your eye says she is then get out my house and go get her. Before someone takes the chance you had." She said. At that moment I knew what I needed to do. My mother may have given me the advice I needed but right now I need something that's gonna give me the answers I want. I nodded my head and kissed my mother before I ran back out the door and into my car. I drove for about 20 minutes before I pulled up to the warehouse I had Ty run me my usual and drove back home and lit It up.

That's all I remember before I woke up to Kay laying on my chest and it warmed my heart to see her. Especially since I didn't think she would ever talk to me again, but hey if she's here then maybe she is ready to know what I do. Maybe she can handle all that comes with dating a thug but I won't know until I tell her. I quickly tried to get up with out waking her once I did I went to make some chicken and Mac and cheese I heard that Mac and cheese was her favorite. I threw the chicken in the fryer then threw the Mac and cheese in the oven. I grabbed a few plates then saw Kay was yawning. She was never late for a meal I quickly grabbed the big thing of Mac and cheese and put on the table. As I grabbed some plates and the chicken and placed it on the table. They say the way into a man's heart is through his stomach and the way into a women's is through her mind. So let's hope this food is good enough for the moment, cause I don't go to school enough for the mind games.

"Kay are you ready to talk?" I asked as we continued to eat silently

"Actually I'm not, see I did some thinking and honestly when you feel you should tell then you will. But, I am not about to beg you to keep it real with me. I don't have to and I am not your girlfriend so frankly you don't have to. So we can continue to be whatever this is. But, to be anything more your gonna have to sing like a bird, or you can just lose me now. The choice is yours." She said as she finished her food and put the dishes in the sink.

"Look Kay I'm not tryna keep things from you and it's not how your thinking it is. I want you to be my girlfriend I do but-"

"Jay I'm hearing a lot of talking but it's not sounding like anything I wanna hear. Just know I'm going out tonight now you can come with as my guy, or you can stay home and let Ty tell you about whatever guy I dance with tonight." She said then got up and walked upstairs to my room. As she disappeared behind the door I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in. I can't believe she just talked to me like that. Not only am I sure of what to do next but I'm pretty sure I'm about to surprise us both.
