"Why do I get myself into these messes?" Simeneon Enchantment said to herself. She looked up at the outcropping of rock she was holding onto and sighed. For some strange reason, she felt no fear, for over the last year she had been inundated with a multitude of bad days one more couldn't affect her anymore.

The rock she was holding onto began to splinter under her weight sending small amounts of debris into her braided blonde hair.

"This day is just going from bad to worse!" she yelled. The rock finally gave way and gravity did its work as she fell. Just a few feet down another outcropping made itself available to her. With all the will she could muster she snagged the nearest rock face and held tight with all her might. She breathed heavily, thanking the maker for putting a rock at that particular place. With strength, she didn't know she had she pulled herself up with her arms to the point where her foot could get a hold. With her back to the wall, she wiped the sweat from her face and stared out into the canyon beyond. Her thoughts returned to her parents who she had lost a year almost to the day. If they hadn't stepped into that pyramid everything as of today would have been different. Her parents would not have been taken from her by Heldom the god of the Realm of Eternal futures. So for the past year she had searched and finally found the first key that would free her parents from the clutches of the evil Heldom.

But the journey would be long as another six keys needed to be found. The Interconflagration Curse sentenced six great wizards who lead their homeland into disrepair after destroying the emperor of Malistof and his daughter to a terrible execution, these six wizards were horribly burned inside out and placed in six sacred jars. These jars, if brought back together at the gates of Malistof would give the person who placed them their great powers, and then is able to destroy Heldom altogether.

Simeneon had placed the first urn upon the gates and returned with the newfound powers of greater sensitivity to her hearing. This gift as some called it was both a positive and a negative Simeneon who hadn't wanted any of this from the start. Thus the search had begun for the next key, the Key of Gandar. But first she thought to herself would be to get off this piece of rock that she now stood. As fast as she had thought about it, a rope came out of nowhere to dangle loosely in front of her.

"Need a hand?" asked Fin who was her best friend and fellow traveler from above the rock face.

"I could kiss you!" she said, smiling at the irony.

"Yeah I know but you won't will you?" he returned.

"It's getting harder and harder to fool you now, isn't it?" she giggled.

"Just grab the rope and hold on" he shot back.

She did as she was told, sliding the rope through the caliper fastened to her waist by means of a harness. When secured she nodded to Fin and began her descent. Following the contours of the rock towards the left as Fin moved along with her trying to keep the rope from swaying past thirty degrees. He had tied the rope off using a spike that kept it securely fastened a few feet behind him, his light brown hair blowing in the breeze of this beautiful spring day.

Fin pulled on the rope waiting for Simeneon to hit the next tier when all of a sudden the rope became taught as if somebody else had suddenly grabbed the end.

Struggling with the rope he moved closer to the edge staring down in disbelief. Simeneon was struggling with another figure that had grabbed hold of the rope. The figure wore spiked boots and an all black outfit; a black mask covered its face. Simeneon tried to move away but the intruder had grabbed a foothold refusing to budge.
