Guardian Jack frost x Reader

The Ball

As i walk through the doors, everyone turns and looks at me. I look at all the faces as i feel my face turning red. North walks up next to me with a big smile.

"This is our newest member! everyone please welcome (y/n)! Guardian of Strength!" North announced to everyone in the room. I freezed, then smiled and waved. Everyone began to clap and cheer. After a few minutes went buy of that, everyone settled down, and the Music started to play as some people danced, and others stood around chatting.

"go on, have fun" North said shoving me a little bit towards the stairs. I began walking down the marbled stairs, to the ballroom floor, making sure my footing was just right so i didn't fall. I walked through the dancing couples, weaving through them cautiously. I felt someone run into me and i jumped back a bit, trying to find my balance.

"oh, I'm so sorry, are you alright?" I man's voice said. I looked up to see Jack looking at me.

"oh hey Jack, yeah I'm fine." I said with a smile, I took a long look at him, noticing his outfit. He was wearing a Black suit with a silver tie and silver shoes.

"here let's get off of the dance floor." Jack said grabbing my hand and taking me to a secluded place in the room. Jack looked at me silently, and I gave him a few nervous glances back.

"is it your first time going to a dance like this?" Jack asked me curiously.

"yeah, it is" I said shyly. Jack smiled.

"you don't have to be so shy you know?" Jack said with a bit of humor in his voice. I didn't say anything back I just looked down at my dress.

"hey (y/n)? um, would you like to dance?" Jack asked me nervously. I looked at him, and saw him holding out his hand. I smiled and took his hand and he lead me to the dance floor. He put one hand in mine, and then one on my waist, as my hand rested on his shoulder. We skipped around to the fun beat of the song, laughing at each other and getting lost in the rhythm. The song came to a stop and me and Jack smiled at each other.

"having fun?" Jack said to me with a big grin. I know I am" he said, this made me smile, and then I heard the next song start to play. This song was a slow song and I began to walk away thinking Jack would follow.

"We aren't done yet" Jack said catching my hand and pulling me back towards him. He took my hands and placed them both around his neck, and then placed his on my waist. We started slow dancing, and I couldn't seem to manage to look at his face, knowing I was blushing.

"isn't this nice?" Jack whispered to me. I then looked up at him slowly and nodded. Jack pulled me by my waist closer to him, so that our bodies were touching. Not breaking our eye contact, our noses were almost touching.

"you look amazing (y/n)" Jack said sweetly.

"you do to Jack" I said smiling at him. I rested my head on his chest as we slowly danced around the room. Once the song was over Jack held my hand, leading me over to where we were before.

"Jack?"

"yes (y/n)"

"why have you not been talking to me as much? I feel like you've been avoiding me" I asked with a bit of disappointment in my words. Jack sighed and looked at me.

"do you want to know the truth?" he asked me, and i nodded.

"well, I've been nervous you see?" Jack stated looking at the ground.

"I've been trying to find the perfect way to ask you to this Ball.." He said as I looked at him shocked.

"..but every time I came close to talking to you, I don't know, I couldn't think of any words." Jack then met my gaze, and took both of my hands in his.

" I even asked Tooth to makes us matching outfits" he said looking down at his tie with a smirk..

"earlier today, I thought I actually built up the courage to ask you, But when I came looking for you, You had just gotten out of the shower, and seeing you like that, I figured it wasn't the best time" He chuckled and I could feel my cheeks turning pink, thinking of the memory that happened earlier.

I waited by your door, but you never came back out, and once the ball started, I figured I must have missed you somehow.... And then when I saw you up there with north, I hurried to get to you.. and that's why we had that little accident" Jack smiled, and I noticed his cheeks were tinted with a light pink.

"is this really what happened?" I asked smiling uncontrollably

"yes, it is.." Jack said with a smile growing on his face.

"(y/n) if I would have asked you to go with me...would you of said yes?" Jack looked at me curiously.

"of course I would of said yes Jack. You're like my best friend!"  I said smiling up at him. Jack then hugged me, lifting me up and holding me tight. My stomach began to twist, and I started wondering why Jack hugging me made me feel this way.

"well now I wish I would of just asked you!" Jack said putting me back down and loosening his grip, but not letting go of his embrace around me.

"hey, do you want to get out of here?" I asked Jack while we were hugging each other. He looked at me with a confusing face.

"why? are you not enjoying the Ball?" He asked me concerned.

"well no, I'm enjoying myself, but... I'm not much of a people person... and there is ALOT of people here. Its kind of crowded" I said feeling a bit bad. But then Jack smiled at me.

"yeah come on, where do you want to go?" He asked me while starting to walk to the doors.

"well, I was thinking since I never really have time to, and everyone is at the dance, maybe we could just walk around the North Pole factory?" I asked jack while following him.

"okay yeah, sound just fine." he said to me with a smile as we walked out of the doors and began roaming around the giant building. "haha, I remember before I became a guardian, I use to try and break in here all the time." He said laughing at his memory. I looked up at him shocked. "oh, but I never got past the Yetties" He said seeing my face.

I would of loved to see how that played out." I said laughing.

"oh you would of just loved to see me getting thrown out by a big hairy beast wouldn't of you!?" He said laughing along with me.

"yes I would of!" I said as my laugh began to stop.

"hey (y/n)? do you want to see something?"

"sure" I said as Jack took ahold of my arm leading me down a hallway filled with pictures. Jack went up to a small picture, of what looked like a young North and slightly tilted it to the side as the floor below it started to slid open. I looked down in amazement as Jack grabbed my hand leading me down the stairs. Once both are head where away from the flooring above us, Jack hit a button that closed the sliding door and turned on lights. We walked into a giant room, that had dark, red wood flooring. In the center of the room, there was a white, fluffy, round carpet. On top of the carpet was a big black, leather couch with a coffee table sitting in front of it. There was a Huge flat screen TV hanging on the wall, and there were book shelves filled with stories, and a mini fridge in the room. There were white Christmas lights hanging up all the way around the room, just giving it that extra glow. It looked like such a cozy place.
