Guardian Jack frost x Reader

Deep Unknown.

I woke up the next morning with Jacks arm around me holding me close to him. I turned to face him and his eyes opened up and stared into mine. His icey blue eyes made me smile as I looked into them.

"Good Morning." Jack returned my smile as he used his fingers to tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear. The touch of his frosty hand made my stomach float with excitement.

"Good Morning." I said back smiling more than I already was.

"(y/n), If you get in the shower right now will you be ready in 30 minutes?" Jack said impatiently as he jumped out of bed. He ran over to my side and grabbed my hands pulling me up into a standing position.

"Yes, why? what's going on?" I asked so confused since sleep was still flooding my eyes.

"Just get ready!" Jack said while lightly pushing me out the door and into the bathroom. Then he started to jog away. I let myself let out a small laugh as I shook my head. Before I could open the door I heard Jacks feet coming back down the hallway.

"I almost forgot!" Jack shouted as he placed a cold kiss on my cheek. I lifted my hand to the place where Jacks lips just pressed as I made my way into the bathroom. As I took a nice, soothing, cold shower I couldn't help but smile the entire time thinking about last night, and over thinking about what it meant. Am I Jacks Girlfriend now?  Or do I still have to wait for him to ask? Should I ask him? Maybe that's what he's in such a rush about this morning. Either way I will find out soon enough.

After my shower I make it back to my room and get dressed into my casual white dress and silver shoes and made my way out side. Jack was standing there leaning against his staff, when he noticed me he ran over and grabbed my hand.

"Now I want you to keep your eyes closed the entire time okay?" Jack said with a huge grin plastered on his face. I nodded and shut my eyes as we took off in flight. I used Jacks hand to guide me, but I couldn't help but use my thumb to gently rub his. His hand was incredibly soft. My feet touched the ground as I felt Jacks hand hover over my eyes.

"Are you ready?" His voice echoed.

"As ready as Ill ever be" I said as my heart beat started to quicken. Jack dropped his hands revealing a gorgeous, frozen pond with frozen water falls falling into it from every direction. Every where I turned I saw the shimmer of frozen water, and I almost burst into tears of joy. I turned toward Jack to see him holding up my ice skates in one of his hands. I couldn't help myself but to run over to him and tackle him to the ground giving him a bear hug.

"Jack this is absolutely amazing! You didn't have to do this! How DID you do this!? WHEN did you do this!?" I smiled as I sat up helping him back up to his feet. He stared at me a bit before he did that nervous scratch behind his neck before he spoke.

"Well, umm, I may have snuck out last night for about two hours, did this and then came back to you."  He smiled at me as he handed me my skates.

"I loved watching you skate (y/n), I wanna see you do it again."

"But Jack--" I said nervously before he could cut me off.

"(y/n), I wont let anything happen. Now go do what you love" Jack said as he walked be over to ice sculpted like a bench. He watched me up on my skates, and then walked me over to the ice. He stayed as close as he could to be the entire time, making sure the heat radiating through my body wouldn't melt the ice. It feels like its been forever since the last time I've skated, I cant help myself but to separate from jack a bit and do a triple axle. When I land I hear a crack. I see Jack shoot ice from his hands toward my feet. There is another loud crack, and I can feel the heat coming off of me because I'm starting to panic. I'm getting ready to fly into the air when another crack bust into the air. shards of ice is flying every where and I feel a hand wrap around my ankle dragging me down into the water.

-Jacks Pov-

The Ice broke like something was hitting it from underneath. I saw the fear on (y/n)'s face and I instantly regretted bringing her here. As the ice flew in every direction I saw a hand grab her my the ankle and dragger under the water. I sprinted over to the gaping whole in the middle of the pond. I tried to drag my self under but every time I touched the water it turned into ice. I desperately tried scratching my way underneath but it was use less. I felt my body start to quiver and that's when I felt the iced over tears stuck on my face. As quickly as I could I flew back to the factory and got North.

-Your Pov-

I woke up in what looked like a bubble. I could breath which was weird because I could feel all the water that was around me. The bubble almost looked like a thick fog, I could barely see through it. I could make out a dark shadow, growing closer and closer to where I was desperately trapped. My fire magic wasn't working, it only created small bubbles across the palm of my hands. The bubble then popped, and I felt my self stretch out and slowly fall to a soft bed of sand. I looked up to see a man, with a shiny red fish tale. It was a merman. He had brunette hair that was settling around his face. Finally it settled across his forehead as he looked at me.

"Are you alright? There was this dark, sand looking fish thing breaking that ice from underneath. I saw it grab you so I scared it off." The man seemed friendly, but I was still taken back from him. I looked down and I had a matching silver tail. I screamed.

"What did you do to me!?" I started panicking. I grabbed all over my fin seeing if I could feel and evidence of my legs being there. I couldn't.

"No, no, no, don't worry. You will get your legs back once I get you to the surface. This was the only way I could keep you alive." The boy swam toward me, as he did his hair flew behind him gracefully. He grabbed my hands and helped me swim up.

"See? Its not so bad." He said I looked at him. He had kind brown eyes that squinted while he smiled at me.

"I-I don't understand, Why didn't you just take me back to the surface?" I asked still confused about this entire situation. I don't see how one moment I could be having the most amazing time of my life, and the next not even recognizing myself.

"I tried, but when I did everything was frozen over. I didn't want you to drown so I put you in a incubating bubble. Which gives mythicals like us fins. I knew from the moment I saw that thing drag you under that you where a guardian. It radiates off you." He was staring at me now, a little to close for comfort.

"Well thank you very much...--"

"Dylan, my name is Dylan. It means 'son of the sea'". He changed his posture as he said this, he looked so proud of his name, I couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you Dylan. My name is (y/n), now can you show me where the pond is? I maybe able to melt it." I asked him swimming out of the cavern that surrounded us.

"Sure thing!" He swam in front of me leading the way back to where I came from.  I looked up, we passed several different ponds on the way to the one I fell through. Its amazing how much water there is underneath the ground. It's beautiful. Finally we got the right pond. I could thee the old cracks of ice as I swam upwards. The ice was thick, poor Jack he is probably so worried about me. I raised my hands up to the ice and let the water boil off of my fingers. I stayed like that for what felt like three hours before Dylan interrupted me.

"(y/n), you can come back anytime now. You will always be able to breath in this particular water. Plus, I get pretty lonely here by myself." Dylan's voice seemed upset. With out stopping the work of my hands I turned and gave Dylan a saddened smile.

"Thank you" I said to him, as I looked up to see the ice had finally melted me free.
