On the quiet street of privet drive in Surrey, England stood a house that looked just like every other house on the street with the grass cut short and the flower beds weeded but this house had one very peculiar resident. Harriet Potter the only daughter of James and Lilly Potter and the last member of the ancient house of Potter lived on this quiet street with her mother's sister Petunia, her husband Vernon, and their son Dudley. Had the neighbors seen what was happening to the small child in side that house of horrors none would have thought twice about kidnapping the girl to free her from the horrible abuse she suffered.
Every morning Harriet was up with the sun to make breakfast just as she had since she was old enough to reach the counter top, after feeding her so called family she would spend the rest of the day cleaning and cooking like a slave and if anything was left out of place she would be beaten. She was severely under weight since she was given barely enough to feed a normal child that was half as active as her and after a day full of hard manual labor and beatings she was forced to sleep in a small cupboard under the stairs where she was locked in every night.
There were many nights when she would lay in her bed dreaming about stars and a life far beyond the one she had, on those nights she would have strange dreams that felt more like memories, in all of them a large woman dressed in a pink rose like dress with long pink hair done in ringlets and a pink gem glittering from her stomach would stand before her. The woman never says anything to her but she feels like she can trust her then another woman would enter the dream she was just as tall as the first with more of a muscular build to her but instead of pink the new woman was a light orange color with white hair and a gem where her nose should be.
Harriet felt a great amount of loyalty coming from the new gem and after the first walked out of the room she can almost hear a promise whispered on the wind.
" I will protect you, my Emerald"
The slamming of the door out side her cupboard startled her out of her thoughts and day dreams while letting Harriet know that Vernon was back from work, she could only hope he was in a good mood or she was in for another beating.
"Petunia I'm home my pet, and I have good news" Vernon called out as he passed by the front hall on his way to the kitchen. Harriet heard a gasp and some giggling before a grumble started coming from the kitchen as if her aunt and uncle where having an argument. She waited quietly in her cupboard for almost an hour before she heard the door to the kitchen opening.
"Don't worry dear soon everything will be taken care of" Harriet gasped as the door was wrenched open giving her an uninterrupted view of her uncles face that was slowly turning red but that wasn't hard when you looked like a beach ball with a head and limbs.
"Get up you street rat! We're going on a vacation so we'll need our bags packed as soon as possible, get going you lazy lout!" Harriet ran from her cupboard up the stairs and into the master bedroom.
Twenty four hours later Harriet was squished into the back seat of a rental car with her cousin dudley on their way thru a small sea side city in America called beach city ironically. They had just made it to the beach when the baby whale beside her began to whine for food, spotting a donut shop just in front of the beach her uncle stopped the car and thrust a ten doller bill into her hands with the orders to get some donuts. The moment she stepped out of the car she heard the screech of tires as her uncle floored it down the street and out of sight, Harriet couldn't help but sigh she knew that one day they would simply abandon her to what ever harsh fate a life on the streets would give her. Stuffing the cash into an over sized pocket she stepped off the board walk and onto the sand, in all her life she had never seen the ocean before but it was nice to see the waves rolling on the sand as a light breeze blew thru her hair. Harriet spotted a nice log not far from the cliffs under the light house it looked like a good place to sit and watch the sun set over the ocean after all it wasn't like she was going anywhere anytime soon.

The crystal gems were relaxing in the house waiting for Steven to get home from his dad's car wash when Garnet shot off the couch.
"Pearl, Amethyst it's time get the Emerald her other half will be here soon" Pearl gasped before running into the temple, finally after all these years they were going to meet the Emerald they owed so much to. The three raced out of the house and hid behind some boulders that jetted out from the side of the cliffs facing beach city, they didn't have to wait long before they saw a car pull up to the big donut and a small child was shoved from the vehicle. Pearl gasp
ed in shock while Garnet was barely able to restrain Amethyst and herself from attacking the things that called themselves people in the car that was speeding away, the poor child looked sick with her hair flat and lifeless while the skin of her face was slightly hollowed and sunken around her face and neck. The gems had seen and heard of humans doing horrible things to their own kind but rarely to their own kin, as the child walked closer Pearl began to cry as the light from the setting sun illuminated the scars and bruses that covered her body."We have to throw it near her, she has to touch it of her own free will" Garnet whispered to Pearl who nodded her head before taking a deep breath and throwing the emerald so it landed a few feet from her, the noise got the girls attention. Slowly she stood and moved toward the gem that layed innocently on the beach, after a moment of silence the girl reached down to pick up the gem and the moment she touched it she burst into light before being absorbed by the gem her old tattered clothes remained as little more than scraps of fabric left on the sand.
"Ah hahahaha we did it her two halves are one and finally she can finish her formation" Pearl began spinning Amethyst as the two laughed in joy while Garnet picked up Emerald from the sand.
"come on you two we have to get her back to the house so we can properly explain everything you have to remember the only solid memories she might have are from her human half she will have a lot of questions" Garnet started off down the beach with Pearl and Amethyst following her rambling on about anything that came into their heads thou they could hear Gregs van approaching.
" Hey!!! Guys! What's going on" Steven called as he ran to meet them at the top of the stairs, Pearl held the door open as she began to explain.
"Oh Steven, remember a few nights a go when I told you about the beginning of the rebellion and the Emerald gem, well it finally happened just a few minutes ago Garnet saw the other half of Emerald coming to beach city and so we waited down by the beach until she came. Now we just have to wait for her to finish forming it could take anywhere from a few minutes to hours or even days but it will happen, eventually" Pearl began to fidget as she watched Garnet put Emerald on a soft pillow on the couch.
"It's fine Pearl she should be about done by now" almost as if by magic the Emerald began to glow a bright light and a figure began to form but the light got so bright they had to avert their eyes so they wouldn't be blinded. When they could finally see again they stared at the gem they had been waiting so long to meet.
