Garnet waited by the door for the two wizards to make it up the steps, she had felt them as soon as they appeared and had been quick to gather Amethyst and Pearl to the house now they just had to wait.

"Oh Garnet are you sure this is okay? Emerald only just formed and is still asleep we should just force them to go away then we can keep her safe from that world, we haven't even told Steven about that side of the earth yet." Pearl asked as she paced the middle of the living room little did she know that she had raised her voice a little too high and raised both Steven and Emerald from their sleep.

"Well if they didn't know before you've cirtainly got their attention now" Amethyst said as she pointed over in the direction of the couch and the loft.

"What?" Pearl gasped before turning to see Emerald sitting up on the couch and Steven running down the stairs to join her

"Come on Pearl you have to tell us now we're already up, please." Steven called as he bounced on the couch while Emerald looked so exited to learn something new she was still kind of shy, she knew that the way her old family had treated her was wrong and wouldn't happen here and that it was okay to just act the way she felt was best but it was hard for her to get out of old habits.

"Steven, Emerald right now we have two wizards walking up the path. wizards and witches are apart of the magical world that exists in the shadows of the normal world but it's not all fun and games the magic they do is serious and can cause you serious harm if your not careful. They have their own society and we try not to get mixed up in it. so much so that only a hand full know that we exist and if I'm correct they never told anyone. At the moment their here to see Emerald but if you don't want to see them then you just tell us and we'll send them away" Emerald looked up at Garnet in surprise, she was so young compared to them but they were willing to ask her what she wanted to do instead of simply telling her what they wanted her to do it was one of the most thoughtful things anyone had ever done for her as sad as that statement was.

"I think . . . That I would like to talk to them" Garnet smiled at her and gave a nod as Pearl sat down beside her

"Alright if thats what you want to do we'll be right here beside you" Pearl smiled at her while Steven jumped in for a hug. The five of them sat tense as Garnet waited by the door, it felt like years had passed before the wizards were knocking on the door when it had probably only been a few minutes. Garnet stood as tall as her considerable hight would allow before opening the door to the two magicals. The witch stood a few inches below her with her brown greying hair pulled back tightly into a bun and her light brown eyes sharp with a good hint of steel in her gaze showing that this was a witch who had seen combat and fought in the heat of battle to come out stronger than any man, she was one of the few  witches Garnet could respect as a true fighter not one of those glorified house wives that did nothing but gossip and spend their husbands money all day. The wizard was a strange one even for his kind, his black hair hung almost to his shoulders and was heavy from chemicals meaning he was a potioner if not a potion master and his black eyes were expressionless giving nothing away at any moment, with his long billowing rob and his hooked nose he resembled a bat.

"We have come to see a young girl called Harriet Potter is she here?" The witch asked in a no nonsense tone. Garnet nodded and moved to let them in.

"We know why your here and who you are minurva McGonagall and severus snape, but things are much more complicated than you think they are" the two entered the house slowly and clearly confused as they took in the four others in the house but the only one that looked near eleven was a young boy.

"Please have a seat and we can talk" Garnet said as she leaned against the kitchen counter. The two sat on the couch in silence as they looked from Garnet to the others in the room until Pearl spoke.

"It's kind of hard to understand but when Harriet Potter came to the beach she came in contact with an ancient emerald gem that had been waiting a millenia for her because the gem is part of an alien race of sentient gems and was waiting for its other half that had been preordained by fate all those years ago. Harriet was the gems other half but now that they have come together they have merged into one being and are inseparable  now they have decided to go by the name Emerald instead of Harriet." Pearl finished by pointing to Emerald who waved shyly back at the dumfounded magicals who would have dropped their jaws if they didn't have so much control over themselves.

"Oh Harriet, I mean Emerald we are so sorry about everything you have had to endure had we known sooner we would have gotten you out of there long ago. You see when your parents were killed at the end of the last war they're will was sealed by albus dumbledore someone we thought would have your best intrest at heart but after we relised what was going on we went to gringots the Wizarding bank to try finding you only to find out that albus had used his political power to take possession of your guardianship so he could control you. But with you missing and the signs of abuse that he didn't have time to cover up we were able to unseal the will to find your true guardian as only they could authorize the ritual to find you" McGonagall said as she held Emerald's hands and was near tears close to the end.

"Emerald my name is Severus snape, your mother asked in her will that I look after you. I'm sorry I wasn't their for you but I can make up for that I will teach you everything I can about our world and your family, anything you want to know I will gladly help you" Emerald looked uncertainly between the two and almost on the verge of tears, all these years she had been told that her parents had been killed in a car crash but now they were telling her that they had died fighting in a war and they had been around the whole time but had trusted the wrong person with her well being. While a part of her was furious with the one who had destroyed her family another part of her knew how wars worked, her parents had fought for what they believed in and the one who killed them had been doing the same each of them trying to improve the world in the way they thought was best. It wasn't like she could really blame their killer for her placement with the dursleys if her parents had known that there was a chance that they wouldn't make it and had planed for her to go to other people who would think that all the weird things she had done were normal, there was only one person she could blame and that was the one who had put her there.

"I can't go with you right now, I have to stay here and learn to control my gem powers but I would like to get to know you two and the world my parents came from if that's okay?" McGonagall smiled as she nodded

"That's perfectly fine my dear oh there is so much to tell you" this started a long conversation about the Wizarding world and the many fantastic things that went on in it from the castle of hogwarts to the goblins running the gringots bank and everything in between. The professors had been happy to tell about their own subjects even going so far as to transfigure the coffee table into a horse and back again, the sun had risen above the horizon by the time they were done talking. McGonagall tisked slightly at her watch when she read the time before turning an appoligetic smile to Emerald and the other gems

"As much as we would like to stay we should be getting back to the school there is still much to do before the new school year comes but don't worry we will try to come and visit you as much as possible  while keeping your location a secret of course." The two got up to leave when severeus turned back to Emerald.

"Stay safe alright the next time we come we will have some magical books for you to study" with that the two were off walking a few steps from the house before disappearing while the gems watched from the window as their strange guests left.
