Emerald potter

Emerald's new life

Emerald stood a few inches shorter than Garnet but only a little taller than Pearl her hair was a light green color that was pulled back into a bun at the back of her head and tied with a green ribbon while a chunk of hair formed some side bangs to hang over her left eye. Her skin was a dark brown like the bark of a tree and her eyes were a pale green color, her gem was on her right shoulder and she wore a long slim dress that was a few shades more green than black. The dress wrapped around her neck and covered her left arm in a long sleeve while her right arm and shoulder were completely exposed, the dress covered her c-cup bust before flowing down her waist and hips to touch the ground while a slit reaching up to just a few inches below her hips on the right side flared the bottom of the dress out around her and showed the ballet flats that were on her feet and in the same color as her dress.

Emerald had bearly moved before she fell back against the couch holding her head.

"Ohhhhh what just happened?" Emerald looked up as Pearl approached her, she looked slightly nervous as Pearl sat near her.

"relax we'll explain as much as we can but we need to know what it is you remember?" Emerald looked uncertain but she nodded and looked to be focusing on her memories

"I don't know one moment I was Harriet Potter and now I'm not sure what I am the only thing I really remember is something I thought was a dream. A woman dressed in pink with large pink ringlets and an orange one with messy white hair I think she called me her emerald. What dose that even mean?" Emerald cried as she put her head in her hands and closed her eyes. Steven looked around at the gems who looked a bit stumped about were to start the explanation so like everything else he'd ever done he jumped right in.

"Don't worry, I know right know it doesn't make much sense and it's really confusing but I'm just learning to so maybe we can learn together"

Harriet looked up at the small boy standing beside her as he pulled up his shirt to reveal a pink gem the same size and shape as the woman in her memory, it was strange this boy was giving off the same feeling as the woman had and it made her want to learn with him to understand what was happening as he was. The boy smiled brightly as she nodded her head letting him fill her in on everything he knew.

"Well first off we are known as the crystal gems a form of living gem that came from outer space to make others like them on earth, usually they're called by their gem name like this is Garnet and this is Pearl, they came from outer space millions of years ago. And this is Amethyst she was born right here on earth just like your gem which is an Emerald a very rare and powerful gem, oh and my name's Steven I have my mother's gem but I'm half human so she and my dad decided to give me a human name you can chose your own if you want" Harriet stared in awe for a few moments before she smiled

"I'll stay Emerald if that's okay" Steven nodded with a large smile on his face before he turned to Pearl so she could began explaining things more in depth than he could.

"Gems are sentient gems that come from what is known simply as home world only once before was an Emerald formed and that was for the first Dimond authority. The Emerald could bring life to any planet and control the plants, animals, and earth around her but when used by a Dimond the Emerald could destroy entire planets. When the first authority fell the Dimonds who would replace them were cruel and calculating and no matter how powerful she was the Emerald decided it would be better to shatter herself then become their tool" Amethyst soon took over putting her own simplified version to the information they were trying to tell her

"You see we're like made from the light and power of our gems so if we get hurt our physical forms go poof and we just chill in our gems until we've gained enough power to come out unless we're shattered or corupted then there's no repairing you but some like Steven here have healing powers and can fix a broken gem" Garnet spoke for the firsttime as she interrupted Amethyst.

"Because of our physical forms we are capable of using fusion a powerful art that allows two gems to come together as one to combine their power and strength but this takes time, practice, and training. Then of course there is a gems personal weapon that can be summoned from their gem and our abilities with shapeshifting dose come in handy, for now thou you should rest we have plenty of time to teach you everything we know starting tomorrow" Steven said good night as the other gems finished making a bed for Emerald on the couch even thou they had told her it was rare for a gem to dream or sleep for that matter but that it would help her relax, Emerald was just happy that for once when something strange happened to her she wasn't a freak because of it, not anymore cause there were others like her and if the crystal gems were right then there were whole planets full of gems like them. And so the only Emerald drifted off to sleep on dreams of what her new life would be like with her new friends and the hope that she could meet the strange orange gem who had whispered to her so long ago.
