Everyone was in place, they were all hidden in plane sight, they all looked normal. Harley and Delilah looked like two girls having a girls day out, Floyd was dressed as a guard as was Harkness. Orion was across the street in a coffee shop working on hacking into and controlling the buildings technical security. Then there was (Name) who had someone tailing her everywhere she went.
As soon as Orion controlled the technical security, their plan would have just a few minutes for the plan to be in motion. A time oriented task, it was quick, but difficult to pull off and needed preparation.
"I'm in, you have roughly 6 minutes." And with these words the girls moved to the next exhibit and the guys switched posts with other guards.
"You haven't pulled anything yet."
"I haven't decided what I wanted to take yet."
Earnest scoffed at her, "It's obvious what you would steal. Anyone thinking to steal something from here would take those and that's why they're in thick impenetrable glass." He pointed to two handmade clay sculptures under a glass casing. The center piece of the entire display.
She winked at the smug man and walked straight to the glass. Everyone was in place.
"You mean this?" She asked joking as she poked the glass. It didn't break at her touch, but the look on Earnest's face told another story. He looked horrified as if it had.
"What is that?" A girl yelps at the sight of a pink gas coming out of the vents. Earnest looked at the gas, then at (Name).
"You did this!"
"I've been under surveillance, don't you think someone would have reported if I've acted suspiciously?"
"Sir, we have to clear out the building!" An employee said. Earnest looked around, attempting to avoid looking at (Name)'s grin.
"Fine! But lock down the main exhibit." He barked his orders, then looked to where she was standing. He looked around frantically for her. Seeing her head towards the sculptures once again. She wasn't the only one, however, he didn't know this. He was only focused on her.
"10, 9, 8,..."
Harley and Delilah had hid behind the sculptures' pedestal.
"...7, 6, 5,..."
Floyd and Harkness ushered citizens out, as they made they're way to the gate. Looking back they saw the gate beginning to close.
"...4, 3, 2,..."
They gate was closing quickly, (Name) ran toward the gate and slide underneath it.
"...1."
As she tried to get up, she found that she couldn't, as her hoodie was caught under the door. With some struggle, she managed t shrug off the jacket.
"Ready to get to work?"
"What do you mean? He was right there's no way to break this, not with the lack of supplies we have." Harley countered.
"My sweet blond friend, I never said we were taking sculptures." (Name) answered as she walked around, kicking the ground. Finally she kicked a hollow sounding floor tile, then lifted the tile.
"We taking paintings. Grab as many as you can and don't damage any of them."
For the minutes the had, they'd quickly moved the paintings into the tunnel under the tiles.
"Guys, I can't fight off their security systems much longer."
"Try to for as long as you can, babe." Delilah responded as she grabbed another painting.
