Delilah slipped out from their 'family room', as they'd started to call it, and searched for her irritated friend. She didn't have to search much, she knew where the other would go.

The building they'd been living in had one floor, and was long. The kitchen/common room (which Floyd and Harkness had coined as the 'family room') was in the middle, with several other smaller utility rooms attached. Then several rooms on both sides of the family room. Left side was for the guys, and the right for the girls.

The round faced woman just had to navigate herself to a window and climb onto the short roof. Once on the roof, she began doubting how well she could carry herself the short distance towards the other.

"Hey, (Name)!"

"Yeah?" She relaxed slightly at hearing her friend's voice.

"So, Waller took your advice. They're discussing how he can ensure he won't screw everything up."

"You didn't come out here to tell me that, what's on your mind?" Delilah fell silent. She felt as if she was in trouble, but why. Attempting to rationalise it, she'd told her self she had nothing to be in trouble for because she's a grown-ass adult.

"He... uh... could he be... him?" She waited for a long response of every reason he's not him, yet it never came. (Name) just sighed and said, "I don't know. He seems familiar and I just can't place it. It's like it's on the tip of my tongue, but when I try to think, to remember, just get this bad after taste."

"After taste? What do you mean?"

"Metaphor, it's a metaphor." Delilah met her (colour) eyes and confessed, "I nearly failed English every year of high school. Literal language, go."

"I mean, I try to remember and I feel as if almost do, and then I get... I get sad, really, really sad." The beautiful girl had run out of words to return to her clever friend. She couldn't reply to what she'd just said. Her Best Friend had, for once, spilled her guts to her and she was speechless. The only action she could take was to offer a reassuring hug. And although it was accepted, reassurance wasn't found.

After awhile on the roof, the girls decided it was best to come down, with their unlikely hope that they wouldn't be noticed alive. Going back the route the came, through the window and down the hallway, they'd arrived at the entrance to the family room.

Surprisingly they hadn't been noticed, just as they'd hoped. Though that was because everyone's attention was focused on the deal Waller was attempting to make with an uncaring "Mista' J".

He seemed much more interested in whatever story the blonde in his lap was telling him than what Waller was saying. He'd occasionally make outrageous demands he'd almost immediately forget about.

It was like clockwork. And it pissed Amanda Waller off to no end. He wouldn't listen and she had nothing to use against him. Although she could say she could use Harley, he had her, and likely wouldn't be letting her go any time soon.

(Name) had watched this routine go through a few cycles and she couldn't help but chuckle at their behaviour.

That chuckle was all 'J' needed to notice her. He glanced at her and managed to catch her eyes. As much as she felt she needed to, she couldn't tear her eyes from his.

She may not have been able to look away, but he'd managed to rip his gaze away, and redirect his attention to Waller. He suggested to have their "team captain" watch him, then any time he'd act up would be reported to Waller directly and "reasonable" action could be taken quickly.

After a moment of consideration, she seemed to approve of the idea.

"Were (Last Name) to be willing to accept, we'd have ourselves a deal." Harley cheered at Waller's words. Everyone started chattering like teenage girls over gossip. Even Orin, who preferred to keep quiet and unnoticed.

Delilah took note of Amanda's expectant eyes on (Name) and (Name)'s absent minded staring at 'J'. Breaking her out of her staring, she elbowed her friend in the side and pointed at Amanda.

"No."

The room fell silent at as her answer had finally come. She couldn't agree to be around him and watch him all the time.

"And why not?" Waller pushed.

She couldn't respond. What was she going to say? 'He makes me sad.' Oh boo hoo, she's an adult and she can't answer like child.

Delilah knew she couldn't respond. She can't explain something she couldn't remember. She had to say something, anything. Orin! He's clever, he'd know what to say. One glance at him, and he seemed to know exactly what to do.

"It's an absurd idea," he claimed as he sipped his coffee.

"Care to explain." Waller demanded more than asked.

"She has to basically babysit all of us already, make sure we don't die, wonder off, et cetera, et cetera, and create a means of action for every mission you throw at us. Those two things are pretty time consuming already. To have her watch one person specially, especially him, it'd be near impossible." He took another sip of coffee before continuing, "how would she watch him one missions?"

Delilah quickly spoke up, "an alternative could be, if can't watch him, she could have one of us do it."

If looks could kill, the red headed woman would be dead twice over. From both 'J' and (Name). She'd just suggested a compromise that neither had or will get a say in. Both of them just glared at Delilah as Waller approved the idea, with her own modifications, such as guards around the house at all times, as well as a few other security precautions.

One by one, the group disbursed, until it was 'J' with his blonde still in his lap, and (Name) watching Delilah walk towards her own room.

"Harley, you're on watch duty temporarily. Make sure he doesn't do... just about anything, really," turning her attention to her traitor of a friend, she practically screamed, "Delilah! The hell?"

"What?" She asked innocently as she turned to open her door.

"You know what, why the hell would you do that?" Delilah opened her door and motioned for (Name) to follow her. Once in the room and seated, Delilah on the bed, (Name) at a small desk, they continued conversation.

"You need to talk about this, and it was a great way to get you to initiate the conversation."

"No, I don't need to 'talk about this', because there's nothing to talk about."

"You do need to talk about it. Why are you so against talking about this. What are you so afraid of?" After one spoke, the other had to respond louder, and after Delilah's loud ramble of questions, (Name) fell silent. She couldn't answer that either. She can't answer a question she didn't know the answer to.

"I have some work I need to finish," she spoke in barely a whisper before leaving.

Delilah wanted to call out to her, but what would she do if she did. She doesn't answers, or some wise, riddle-like, insight about life or whatever. She'd just have to wait, like she always does with (Name). Wait for when she's ready to talk about it, if she's ever ready to talk about it.
