They reached the top of the building. The wind snapped at Yamaguchi's clothes but it was still warm and comforting, so he let himself be caught up in the sensation of the air on his skin.

"What'd you want to tell me?" Tsukishima asked, rubbing his arms in an attempt to warm himself up.

And why did Yamaguchi ask him to come here? He didn't know, he wasn't sure. Here in his happy zone.

He smiled, but the smile fell off his face.

Yamaguchi forced himself out of it when he saw Tsukishima's tired stare. More than that, a glare. The glare that pierced his soul. He stopped moving, everything stopped moving.

The negativity in the air, soul-crushing, suffocating negativity.

That hateful look.. What'd he do? He did something.

Yamaguchi finally crossed the line.

He took a step back as tears welled up in his eyes. Why would he look at Yamaguchi like that? Did he suddenly hate him? Was Yamaguchi an inconvenience now?

He'd finally driven Tsukishima to hate Yamaguchi just as much as Yamaguchi hated himself.

Fear closed his throat as he took a step back, the wind whistled in his ears as he took another. He saw panic in Tsukishima's eyes, heard his scream, but they fell upon a dull mind.

He stepped back into the air, where there was no ground, and found himself falling.
