Chapter 11: Missing her.

Lauren's POV.

Leaving Camila was one of the hardest things I had to do. Leaving her earlier than planned was something unexpected, but I had to come for my family. For my little sister.

The thing here is, my parents don't know the reason why I skipped the family trip and came over to New York instead. I am not exactly sure what I will say to them. Or how will they react.

After I arrived to Miami I did a quick stop in my house, and left all my suitcases there, took my own car and did my way to the hospital. The weather was surprisingly cold, and what better than a big hoodie and some sport pants to start the day. Once I left my car on the parking lot I made my way inside, and in every step I took, my nerves were increasing.

"Good morning, I am here to visit Taylor Jauregui" I said to a man that was behind the huge desk on the front door.

"Good morning Miss, her room number is 18 on the second floor" he politely said not taking his eyes off the big screen he had in front of him.

"Thanks" I said before I made my way to the stairs, and walked to the door. I knocked 3 times before I heard a 'come in' from the other side.

"Finally Lauren" Taylor said in a playful tone, which made me laugh.

"What's up sis" I said to her "Where are mom, dad and Chris?".

"They are down eating" she simply said.

"How are you?" I asked to her ad grabbed her hand in mine making a small caress on it with my thumb.

"My leg is the only problem, then I have some bruises and that's it, but apart from that I am fine. And you? Seems like you kinda cried?" she said in a worried tone.

"No, it's okay, I'm fine" I simply replied to her.

"Hey honey" my dad said walking inside the room "Lauren! I missed you" he walked over to me and hugged me tightly.

"Family hug" Chris screamed and he and my mom joined giving me a warm welcome.

"If I could walk I would hug y'all too, but I mentally did it" Taylor laughed.

"You are taking this really well huh?" I playfully said to her and stayed in my mom's arms.

"She is" mom laughed and kissed the top of my head.

"I'll be right back" I said excusing me for a moment and went out of the hospital room.

I grabbed my phone, went into my favorite contacts, and clicked on Camila's name. After a few agonizing beeps, she finally answered.

"Lauren, hey!" she said exited from the other side of the line, which made me smile.

"Hey you, I can't believe how much I miss you already" I said to her with a hint of sadness in my voice.

"I miss you a lot too, I can't wait for our skype tonight".

"Me neither, did you like what I left on your bed?" I asked her referring to the shirts.

"Yes! Thank you, I am actually wearing one right now, I loved it Lo" she said sweetly to me "How is Taylor doing?".

"I am actually at the hospital right now, she is doing fine, she is taking this better than I actually expected, she even makes jokes about this" I chuckled when I finished my sentence.

"I'm glad there is nothing serious going on" she said in a sincere way.

"Yea, me too, what are you going to do today?"

"I will be going out with Dinah later, and then just stay in home, she invited me to a party tomorrow" she said.

"Will you go?" I asked her. And she only hummed in response "You'll call me after that as well right?"
