Chapter 13: Good news?

Camila's POV.

A few days later, everything was perfect. Normani and Dinah were doing great, they texted a lot during the day and even sometimes they could spend it talking on the phone. They were so cute together that it warmed my heart. My parents were home which was a miracle, because they wouldn't stay here more than a few hours before doing another trip. They would always offer me to take some trips with them when I was in vacations, and they would always take Sofi on the weekends and in vacations, and she loved going, sometimes I take their offer because I don't want to always stay home alone and I want to meet other states as well as other countries. 

 Around 9 am, my mom came into my room, Lauren and I already hung up the phone because she had an early meeting in the company with her father, and then she was maybe going to her parents house to visit her siblings and have lunch, so we couldn't text all morning. 

After I did my morning routine and took a quick shower, I went downstairs with my parents to get breakfast, my mom made some eggs, bacon, toasts, pancakes, hot chocolate and coffee, she is one of those latina's mothers that cooks for an entire army.

"Morning" I said to everyone, waving to my parents, and kissing Sofi's head. Then I sat next to Sofi, and she rested her head in my shoulder "This smells and looks so good mom" I told her looking at the big table.

"Special breakfast for my special people" she said smiling and serving herself a cup of coffee.

We quickly got involved in a conversation, my parents were talking about work, and telling us about their new restaurant that is going to be called "Aqua" and they said it would open in different parts of the USA, which I suppose was an indirect to me, meaning they would have to take another business trip, but for now they didn't say so. They asked me about uni, which I was going to start in a few months from now, I still wasn't sure of my future.

Once we finished breakfast, I helped my mom on cleaning, washing and saving all the food on the fridge. Sofi went to her room to get ready because she was going to a friend's house to have a sleep over, apparently there was a new video game and they insisted on trying it, so I know she won't get a wink of sleep at night. My parents were taking her and then they would go to the office to do some work. 

"Mija, before we leave, we wanted to talk to you about something" my dad said to me, and we sat on the table again.

"Um... another work trip?" I asked knowing the answer.

"Yes, and we wanted to let you know you can come, but I am super positive you will" my mom said now flashing a big smile to me. And here I am, more confused than ever.

"To where?" was all I asked.

"Miami" was the word that escaped my dad's lips and my heart stopped for a second, Miami, where Lauren lives.

"When?" was all I could ask with a big smile on my face.

"In two weeks" my mom informed me "I know you would love to go with us. We know Lauren lives there" she said, of course I talked to them about Lauren, because well she stayed home, and my parents had to know.

"Mom, dad, can Dinah go as well?" I asked her remembering the deal with Lauren.

"Sure" my dad said and Sofi came downstairs with her backpack ready "we will get going now, see you at night mija, we will bring the dinner when we come home" he said kissing my head, mom did the same and Sofi just hugged me goodbye.

Once they left, all I wanted was to call Lauren to tell her the news, I couldn't contain my happiness, but I remembered she was in the meeting, and she might not be able to pick up or even see my messages, so I had to wait until she was out. But... Dinah wasn't busy, so I would call her. May god have me on his glory if I was about to wake her up. I dialed her number and waited for her to pick up the phone.
