"I'm so tired!" I said rubbing my eyes and the temple of my forehead.

Classes had been going on for the past month and had been kicking our butts, well my butt, at least. Lauren religiously went to her classes and she would even stay after and chat with her professors. Don't get me wrong, I'm super smart and love learning new things, but my girl is on another level and sometimes I tease her and tell her she's "addicted to college".

"I mean maybe you shouldn't wait until Sunday to do all your homework" Lauren said with a smirk on her face. She was sitting cross-legged on the sofa reading some book, but she then got up and went into the kitchen and started picking out ingredients for dinner.

Our relationship has been so strong since we went skydiving. I have never seen Lauren so happy she's been smiling and laughing a lot more and she's just been all around in a more cheerful mood. As for the neighborhood temptress, Dinah. She's still around, and messing around with half of the people on our block, men and women alike.

I was hoping when classes started I would be seeing little to none of her, but of course the universe is against me and we ended up having a class together, which in college, what the hell are the odds of that? When I told Lauren she didn't look happy, but quickly changed the subject which kind of worried me. But luckily for me she has her own little clique she sits with and I tend to keep to myself in the front of the room.

"Shut up! You're so annoying." I said throwing an eraser at her. "What are you making for dinner, I'm so hungry" I said walking up to her and squeezing her waist staring at the weird concoction she was stirring.

"Remember when I stayed after class the other day? You know that day I told you I couldn't catch the bus with you? Well Professor Vives' daughter was showing us how to make soupa de verduras de abeja, it was me and a couple of other students, she even gave us the main ingredient. I'm so eager to try it." She said getting all bubbly again.

I was so entranced by her speaking in Spanish that it took me awhile to process what she said "Oh, is this for your cultural studies class?" I asked her still feeling hot. I swear the way her voice gets all raspy when she speaks Spanish, just does something to me.

"Yes babe, and it's supposed to serve as an aphrodisiac so esta noche se va hacia abajo" she said turning around and staring at me right before kissing my lips. I really felt like I was about to melt. Lauren is the most stunningly beautiful person I've ever seen, both inside and out, and that fact that I get to be intimate with her is just—

"OH! Baby okay, guess the secret ingredient?" she said smiled and jumping up and down. I was a little mad our kiss was cut short. "Wait before you do, I just want to say it's not conventional and you probably won't like it and maybe you won't even try it, which I mean, I hope you do, cause like..." she rambled on. "Haha babe, calm down, um you said verduras which is vegatables" I said.

"Uh huh" she said still smiling.

"Aaaaand abeja... ah-be-ha" I repeated it over and over and still wasn't getting it.

"AH-BEE-HA" she said and just looked at me.

I suddenly realized what she was talking about and said a little prayer in my head so I didn't curse out my crazy ass girlfriend.

"Lauren Michelle" I said in the calmest way possible. "Are there bees in that soup?"

"Mani, I swear it tastes like chicken I just had a little one not too long ago" she said trying to reassure me.

"BITCH DIDN'T YOU JUST KISS ME?!" I could literally feel my stomach turning.

"That's neither here nor there, but don't you wanna get nasty tonight?" she said winking at me.
