Hey guys! So this is a longer chapter than usual, and that's because I might not update for a little bit. I'm getting a puppy! WOO! So, we'll see how hard she'll be to handle. Doubt you'll have to wait long, but it'll probably be more than a week.

Hope you enjoy this!

My heart skips a beat. An Alpha? I thought only male werewolves could be Alpha's? Is she actually a man or something?

"Alpha Marinne of the Blood Trial pack," Alpha states quietly, looking at her in awe.

A small smile forms on her lips,

"Ah, so you've heard of me." She replies with a soft chuckle.

"Am I missing something here?" I stand up from the couch looing between the two.
Is this some kind of inside joke that I don't get?

I knew she felt different.

What do you mean?

She has a power to her that I can't quite explain.

Helpful. I retort sarcastically.

"Andy," Aiden stands up from the couch, walking over to me before placing his hands lightly on my waist, tingles spreading through my body from the warmth of his hands.
"Your mother is the Alpha to one of the most fiercest, powerful, and ruthless packs in this country. Fuck, maybe even the whole world."

"What?" I stare back at my mother who's sitting their quietly looking at as with a small smile still resting on her face. My mother who would cry every time she watched The Fox and the Hound, an Alpha to a vicious, powerful pack?

"H-How?" I stutter, completely shocked by what I've just been told. "You're not a dude, though."

I probably could have said that more elegantly. Oh well.

My mother lets out a laugh that warms my insides. I remember her laughing like that whenever I would tell her a joke, or do something silly that she loved.

"Well, that's true, I'm not a dude. But that doesn't mean I'm not an Alpha. You see, when I was younger I was the first and only daughter to my father, Alpha of the Winter Sun pack. However, the pack was much smaller, and mainly consisted of rogues my father would find and teach them what it meant to be a part of a family.
But one day the rogues he'd helped turned on our whole pack and murdered almost every pack member we had. Men, women, children, my mother..." She lets out a small sob as she tenses her hands into fists, no doubt remembering exactly what happened that day.
"In the end the only ones that were left was me, my dad, his Beta and a few other pack members. For years we worked to try and build it the pack back up, but after the loss my father received of losing most of his pack and watching his own mate get torn to shreds, he couldn't continue. And one night after I'd just turned 18, he ended his life."

I felt warm tears fall down my face, not even realising that I'd been crying.
I never knew she'd been through so much, hell I didn't even know she was a werewolf. An Alpha of a pack! There's a lot we'll need to catch up on.

"After my father, died, I wanted revenge. I wanted revenge on the ones who took my family away from me. I started going after any and every rogue I could find, questioning them if they knew where the rogues I was looking for were, and then ripping their throats out once I got an answer."

I let out gasp. I never would have thought my mother could be capable of something so... Vicious.

"I did this for years, and eventually those that were left from my father's pack began to follow me, hunting down and killing rogues. Other wolves heard of what we were doing, and left their packs to join us in taking down rogues. Whether it was for revenge, or purely because they loved a good fight, it didn't matter. We took on whoever could prove themselves to us. We did this through the Blood Trials.
