Moonya POV

I slowly open my eyes, I'm staring at the ceiling. I heard beeping sounds, and I'm laying in a bed.

I finally I said, "Where am I?" Naomi said, "Hey, Moonya, how are you feeling? Your in the hospital." I said, "I'm fine, I'm just in pain. Why are you here?" Andrew said, "Relax, she save you from blood lost."

I couldn't believe it, Naomi saving me? Naomi said, "I'm sorry, I couldn't just leave you dying. I would look like a idiot if I didn't save you." I said, "How can I die if I got shot in the shoulder?" Andrew said, "Well, you was losing alot of blood when Naomi dragging you. Thats wh-" I said, "WHOA!!! NAOMI WAS DRAGGING ME?!?!?! WHY DIDN'T YOU STOP HER?!?!?!" Andrew said, "We did, Me and Soli had stopped her. We questioned her action. Soli walked out on us before she could even her the story. Naomi and I carried you here. No hard feelings right?"

I said, "Wrong! I have feelings for my body and you know that Andrew. As for you Naomi, you can just leave." Andrew said, "Hold on Moonya, she saved your life, why should she leave? Naomi kept a better track of you than me." I looked at him and said, "What do you mean she kept a better track of me?" Andrew said, "I mean she took care of you." I looked in shock and said, "H-how?" Naomi said, "Well, you have been asleep for 3 days. The doc said that you was in shock Syndrome, you was really stiff and out of it."

I can't believe my ears, Naomi was taking care of me?! This can't be happening, my life is over. I said, "What happen to me?!!" Naomi said, "Relax, I helped you." I said, "NO, YOU RUINED MY LIFE!!! Just get out!!!" Naomi look down, and said, "But-" I said, "No buts!! Just leave!!" She turned and gathered her things. Andrew said, "Moonya, she was just helping! Why don't you stop thinking yourself and starting thinking of others?!!!! Naomi stay!" Naomi said, "But, Moonya said-" Andrew said, "She's going nuts okay? She's going nuts!"

Really? More like he's going nuts trying to save her, but why? Why save her? I said, "Andrew, why are you trying to save her?" Andrew said, "Look, just becasue she a 10th grader and she ruined your life does't mean you need to get mad at her. Your life was ruined when you got shot, all Naomi did was helped save your life."

Then, suddenly, Naomi cover her mouth, Andrew turned and said, "Naomi, are you alright?" Then she ran out. Andrew said, "Naomi!!!!!!!" He looks at me then leaves. All of a sudden, something pierced my heart. I don't know what it was, it kept hurting me. An old lady said, "Something wrong, child?" I said, "Nothing, its nothing." She said, "Are you sure? I head everything, you know."

How the heck did she know?! I said, "How?" The old lady said, "It's a secret. Now tell me, why was you being so cruel to that girl?" I said, "She--She--" The old lady said, "She helped you, and you screamed at her. Want to know why she left?" I slowly nodded. She said, "She left because she feel that she was worthless towards you. Its sad that you did that, what did she do to you?" As the lady was asking these questions, I felt something watery in my eyes. I feel like everything struck me in my heart. The old lady said, "Well, what did she do to you?" I said, "It was nothing she did wrong, I've heard things about her though." The old lady said, "What things that you heard?"

Well, I told her how many kids calls her a disease and if you touch her you will get it, how she nearly beat a kid to death over someone calling her stupid, and many more. The old lady said, "Let me tell you something: 'Don't judge a book by its cover, only its pages.' Learn that, child." I said, "I know that quote, but its different with people." The old lady said, "How can it be different? People tell a story through their personality, their actions. She told one page of her story to you." I look down feeling really guilty inside, I didn't intend to hurt Naomi's feelings. What should I do?

The old lady, "Now, I know you feel guilty over this, you should apologize to her and thank her. You owe her your life." I said, "I don't know what to say to her." The old lady said, "Its simple, figure it out."

I had to think about it for a second, then It finally popped in my head. I got up from the bed and said "I finally figure it out." Then I left.

Naomi POV

I was running to a nearby bathroom and started throwing up, Andrew followed me and hold me. Andrew said, "Relax." Once I stopped throwing up, I started crying. Then a voice was calling my name. It was Moonya. She was running to me, she said, "Naomi, are you okay?"

I couldn't say anything at first, Moonya kneeled down said, "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean all those things, I was just scared." She starts hugging me and crying. I couldn't believe it, Moonya crying?! This was strange. I said, "Moonya, why are you crying?" Moonya said, "I was wrong for yelling at you. I was just scared of the rumors that I heard of you. I'm so sorry."

Rumors?! So, people fear me now, even my own friends. I said, "Moonya, why would you believe in that?" Moonya said, "I don't know, I feel stupid for believing it." I started smiling a bit, and said, "Don't worry, if thats what you think, th-" Moonya said, "No! Its not what I think, people shouldn't be speading rumors like that. They don't know if you did those things or not, and I know thats not true because its not you." Andrew said, "Moonya, what made you have a change of heart?" Moonya said, "Its my little secret." She smiles at him. Andrew said, "Well, thats a surprise."

I started chuckling and said, "So, can I stay?" Moonya made a big smile and said, "Yeah, you can stay. I feel better with you staying, you act like a protector."

Me? A protector? I feel like a hero. I said, "We should head back to your room." Moonya said, "Yeah, we should. The doctor would be mad at me for not being in bed, wouldn't he Naomi? I nodded my head and said, "Come on Moonya, lets go." I started tuggin on Moonya's arm and she chuckled saying, "I'm coming." We all get up from the ground and head back to the room. Once we got there, Moonya got in bed and fell asleep.

I wonder what made Moonya change her heart.
