A New Day

Moonya POV

I woke up feeling much than yesterday, I went to the counter and fixed me some cereal. I was thinking about the dream/nightmare I had last night, seeing my mom and dad...I really missed them. I was think about them so much I started to cry.

Naomi came from behind and said, "Moonya?" Once I heard her, I wiped my eyes and turned around and said, "Yeah?" She asked me, "Are you okay?" "Yeah." I said with enthusiasm, "I'm feeling much better than yesterday." She look at me with sadness in her eyes, I said, "What's wrong?" Naomi said, "Well, I want to know about that nightmare you." 

The nightmare...? Thats right, Naomi was the one who woke me up when I was screaming. I guess I could tell her about it. I said, "You want to know about the nightmare I had?" She nodded.

I told her how I had a good life, and it changed right in front of my eyes. Naomi said, "Two men? Maybe that man that tried to kidnap you is one of the men that killed your parents." I said, "I don't know, it was a long time ago. That happen when I was just finishing 8th grade, and I have been dealing with my cousin crap since. This is why I can't go home, I don't want to go back to him." Naomi said, "You won't have to, not as long as you have me and Andrew."

I smiled and said, "Thank you." I felt safe around them, knowing that they'll be at my side, what could go wrong? There was a loud knock on Andrew's door. Naomi went to wake Andrew up, "Andrew, someone's at the door." Andrew opens his eyes and said, "Who..what?" I said, "Someone's at the door." Naomi said, "What if that man is back? Or the police?" 

"This is the police!! Open up!!" "Yeah, open up!!" I didn't know what to do, to think. It maybe my cousin that was looking for me. What am I saying?! My cousin hates me, he abuses me, why look for me? All he wanted was for me to leave. "Open up!! Or I'll knock this door down!!!" "Do what he says, or he will do it!!!" Naomi said, "What should we do?" Andrew said, "I'll open the door, you guys hide." I said, "Where? You have a one room house." Andrew said, "Hide in the closet."

When he said that, memories start flying through my head. The pain, the suffering I edured, I fell down almost beginning to faint. Naomi said, "Moonya? What's wrong?" Andrew opened the door slowly, then Salvatore and Hector burst the door open. Sal said, "Haha!! Yo Andrew, you was scared. Should have seen your face, looking like a lil girl." Hector said, "Yeah, whatcha doing here?" Andrew said, "I live here." Sal looked at Hector, then said, "This is your house? More like a place were you kidnap girls and rape them. You sure this your place?" Hector sees me and Naomi, he said, "Hey, what are they doing here?" Sal said, "Who?" Hector said, "Moonya and that other girl." Naomi said, "Its Naomi." I said taking a deep breathe, "Don't, Naomi." Sal said, "Moonya? What are you doing here? We've been looking for you." I said, "Thats good to hear." Hector said, "What's wrong? You sound like you've been running laps." I said, "Its nothing, I'm fine." Sal said, "You sure, Moonya? Where have you been?" Andrew said, "Here." 

Sal said, "Tell me what's up yall. Tell me something." Naomi said, "Well-" I cover her mouth and said, "Its nothing, but can you guys stay here for the night?" Sal said, "Yeah, why? We having a party or something?" Andrew said, "No, just stay here man." Sal said, "Alright, anything for you, Andrew. Hector, we staying here." Hector said, "Alright, but at least tell us what's all this about."

Oh tell them something and they'll freak. Sal and Hector has always looked out for me, but I can't tell them. I can't tell them anything.
