Chapter 4: What's Got His Knickers In a Twist?

My makeup was done, the green eyeshadow I had on sparkled as it caught the light. I was dressed in my outfit I was ready to go and meet Jay. I had forgotten tell the girls about my note but there was always time on Monday or even tomorrow.

I was wearing a t-shirt and shorts as it was quite a hot day, I also had my hair in a ponytail.

"Be back by 10" Mum called out to me.

"Ok see you later" I replied.

I grabbed my sandals as I walked out the door. I have to admit I was feeling a bit nervous probably because I wasn't sure what we were planning on doing down by the beach or where we were going after.

I parked in a big space I know just how accident prone I am when it comes to my car, or anything for that matter. I opened the car door a warm breeze hugged me, I was so glad I didn't wear jeans or I would be boiling right now.

I strolled over to the clearing a figure was standing by the water. I wasn't sure if it was Jay so I rang him. Just to be on the safe side.

"Hi" 

"Hi I'm here." 

"Me too I'm standing by the car park" the figure turned around, yep that was Jay. 

"Oh I err...didn't see you there" I lied. 

"Ok well are you coming or planning on standing there the whole time?"

The phone cut off as I made my way over to Jay I could hear birds tweeting. He turned around and hugged me, butterflies erupted in my stomach, my pulse speed up.

He pointed to a blanket on the floor. "Want to sit down?" He asked me.

"Sure" I replied. He opened a container and handed me a drink.

"How has your first week been" he asked after having a drink. 

"It's been much better than I thought it would go, although there are quite a few jerks plus I'm pretty sure I've already made some enemies" I gave out a nervous laugh. 

"Luke you mean? Yeah, I don't like him, he's trouble just stay away from him" Anger flashed across his face. What's got his knickers in a twist?

"Oh ok" I replied I was shocked to find out how strong Jay's feelings were, I wonder what Luke had done to make him so upset? 

"Why did you move schools?" He asked me. I realised he changed the subject quickly so he probably didn't want to talk about the whole Luke thing. 

"My mum got a new job" 

"Cool"

I flopped down on my bed, tonight was so fun we went all over town we met up with Jay's friends Matt and some other guys. I looked at my phone I had two messages from May and one from Kara.

May: 

I have no idea what to wear for the party! Will you come shopping with me Sunday?

Go round to Ashley's early for the party so we can get ready with the girls? 

I text May back: Sure

Kara: 

I have a plan I'll tell you about it this weekend.

Why did I have to wait until this weekend! I really wanted to know now, but I know Kara well enough she won't tell me until she wants to. Ok, well ,that's what May has told me...but I think it as well.
