Violet's POV

I awoke the next morning to knocking on my door. Startled I jumped out of bed and grabbed a lamp for defense. I peeped through the door hole to only see it was Derek. Sighing in relief I set the lamp down and opened the door. He greeted me with a breathe taking smile and I ushered him inside. I smiled and looked down noticing what I was wearing. My short pajama shorts and tank top revealed much too much skin for my land lord to see. My cheeks tinted pink as I noticed him take in my appearance. I had him take a seat and I started some coffee for us. I was in a daze just seeing him. His luscious light brown hair and nice tanned skin. Just in a plain white tee and jeans he looked breathe taking. My wolf liked him a lot but still compared him to our mate. His blue eyes were radiant and took my breathe away. Finally coming to my senses I got down to business.

"Ummm, Derek not to make this sound rude but may I ask why you are here?" I questioned. My heart rate picked up.

What if he knows that I've snuck away and questions me?!?! I thought to myself.

"Oh! Right, umm sorry. I just came by to make sure you have settled in well." He said scratching the back of his neck. I sighed in relief.

" Oh thank you Derek. It's cozy here I like it." I smiled.

He returned the smile," Good, it's no problem." The coffee was done and I realized I don't have any mugs for him to drink the coffee out of. Maybe they supply some dishes? Deciding to look just in case so I didn't look like a retard I found four mugs. I fist pumped the air and poured us some coffee and came to sit with him.
"Thanks" he smiled. I nodded and a comfortable silence settled between us.
" Sooooo where did you come from?" He questioned. I almost spit out my coffee but thought quick for an answer.
" I came from.....Florida." I managed to get out. Florida? Really? I thought to myself. He nodded taking it in.
" Nice. So are you attending a university nearby?"
Shit!! I didn't think about that. " Uhh actually no I take online classes." I replied quickly.
He nodded," Well if you ever get tired of online classes UNCU is a nearby university which I attend. It's a nice campus."
" Thank you for the information. How old are you?" I questioned curiously.
" I'm 23 at the moment. How about you?" He laughed.
" Umm I'm 18. I thought you would know because of the paper work I had to fill out and having to show you me ID." I laugh nervously immediately feeling guilty for the fake ID. He only nodded and I took that as a good sign. Soon he had to leave and I closed the door with a big sigh. The rest of the day I did some research.
My first order of business was looking up the university Derek had been talking about. It was really nice and big. The big engineering classes intrigued me and made me happy thinking about college. The bad thing was I was a junior in highschool and needed my diploma. Next I looked up nearby high schools and was brought to the highschool website of North Sacramento High. I immediately tapped away on my computer and asking for a transfer. Putting in all the needed information it felt weird to be faking being my mom. Hopefully I would get an email soon saying if I was accepted. After that was settled I looked into nearby jobs. I applied for many restaurants I found. Also applying for supermarkets.The idea of going to school and work didn't sound like much fun but it's the price I pay for freedom. Now I had to wait for a reply. My rental car was already gone but didn't worry because I have a bus pass. After all that was done I started unpacking my giant duffle bag of things. There wasn't much so I finished pretty fast. I laid on the couch and saw it was pitch black outside.
I realized I didn't know what day it was so I quickly looked to my laptop which said Thursday. I thought of the bath tub I now had and tried to think of the last time I took a bath. Hmmm lets see maybe NEVER! I decided to take one a and ran the water pulling out a plain white towel from the cabinet. The hot water was soothing and unknotted all this tense muscles I had. Ten minuets into my bliss I heard knocks at my door. My heart sped up and I quickly got out wrapping the towel around me. I reached for the lamp and couldn't help but feel the déjà vu. Opening the door I only found Derek there and sighed mentally putting down the lamp again. He had this weird look on his face and I frowned until I realized two things. One, I was about to attack whoever was at my door with a lamp and two, I was only in a towel in front of a dude. My cheeks flushed and I hid behind the door poking my head around it. "Ummm yes Derek? What can I help you with?" I chocked out. He seemed to snap out of his faze," Oh! I was just inviting you over for dinner. I mean if you wanted to come." I smiled then," Sure! I will be right over just umm give me a minuet. He nodded and walked away. I closed the door and started to laugh histeriacally. I quickly dressed in a pair of grey sweats and a singlet my long black hair still dripping down my back in waves. I put a black hair chungle around my wrist just in case it annoyed me. I set off and found him waiting at his door. He welcomed me in and I was greeted by the smell of spaghetti. My stomach chose that time to growl and I realized I hadn't eaten all day. I made a note to go to the super market tomorrow. Derek chuckled as my stomach growled louder and I held it blushing from embarrassment. We sat down and he served me a plate along with a cup of water. We made small talk about school for us until we finished. I thanked him and proceeded back to my apartment. I hopped in bed and couldn't help the smile on my face.

The next day I made a trip to the grocery store once I woke up. It was around one in the afternoon and I couldn't help sleeping in. I loved sleep. I grabbed a cart and threw in some fruits, cereals, snack bars, etc. I made sure to keep my budget and couldn't help the creeps I got from these two guys who were checking me out as I checked out the different assortment of noodles. I'm just glad they didn't come up to me and proceeded to the line. They got in line right behind me and I gritted my teeth. The cute employee running the register saw and immediately came to my defense. " Hey you guys get out of here!" he yelled at them. They immediately dispersed in thin air and I smiled at him. His softly tossled black hair was shiny and had that sexy bed head look going on. He was T.A.N.! His eyes were two colors. It was half the iris black the other half a friendly brown kind of like mine. He looked to be around eighteen. His name tag read Dex which I then thought of Dex the Sexy. I rolled my eyes at my inappropriateness and proceeded to thank him. He waved me off," Anything thing for a pretty woman." I blushed and his eyes held a playful glint to them. I flashed him one more smile before grabbing my bags and heading off. I came home and found some emails from the school and my job applications. I started school in exactly a month and I did a victory dance. I had a couple interviews soon and put them on my calendar. Things were finally working out for me.

It's been two and a half weeks since I got here and it passed in a blur. I got a job at the grocery store after Dex hooked me up easy and I didn't even need an interview. We were now best friends and he came over sometimes. Derek and I invite each other over for dinner nights and most of the time we will watch movies afterwards. It was around eight at night and I showered putting on some black joggers with a dark green singlet. I heard knocks and knew it was Dex. I could always tell cause he knocked a certain way. I ran my hand through my wavy black wet hair and then opened the door. I smiled at Dex and he attacked me in a hug lifting me over his shoulder. I screamed playfully and he kicked the door shut and threw me on the couch. We both started burst out laughing until I made a serious face he stopped. " Go get some popcorn slave it's movie night." I said trying not to crack up. " I swear I get no respect around here!" he shouted as he walked into the kitchen. I burst out laughing after that and picked out monsters university to watch first. He came back with popcorn and I jumped for it laughing at his scared face. We soon turned the lights off and played the movie.
Half way through we started fighting about if Mike Wazowski was cuter than him. We ended up wrestling over it. I dived at him taking him to the ground as we rolled around trying to get the upper hand. I ended up on bottom but moved myself lower stretching my leg enough to kick him in the back hard to distract him for a second. His face contorted to pain and I laughed slipping from underneath him and bolting for my room. I was too slow as he grabbed my arms putting them behind my back and pressing my front side against the wall roughly while his front side was against my backside. " Too slow princess." He murmured in my ear his lips brushing against it. Then I realized the position we were in. I couldn't help the heat that ran through my body at that moment. He kept his head in the crook of my neck before brushing his lips against it teasingly. His lips soon connected with my neck setting me out of control. He pressed me further into the wall as he sucked on my neck. I moaned and that seemed to rile him up. He pushed my hands above my head with one hand while the other grabbed my hip pressing me into his back side more as I was pressed against the wall with more force. " Mmmm you taste so good violet. It's too bad you are being a bad girl I think I might have to punish you." He whispered seductively in my ear. That really set me out of control and I could only moan in response. I pulled at my arms but he continued to tease my neck. Nipping and sucking I couldn't take it but he was too strong. " Dex..." I moaned . After that he let go of my arms and turned me around not wasting a second to crash his lips to mine. Our kissing was hot and moved in perfect sync. His tongue licked my bottom lip asking for entrance which I denied. He grabbed my thighs lifting me up and wrapping my legs around him. I still wouldn't let him though making him groan. He grabbed my ass and that sure made me gasp. He slipped his tongue into my mouth exploring. I loved it so much. I pulled away and nudged his head to the side. I attacked his neck. I sucked on his neck biting and kissing making him moan. Now that was music to my ears. His hands explored under my shirt. It all felt so amazing.
He started walking and soon I was dropped onto the bed. He got on top of me and returned his lips to mine. Next thing I new I started to explore his toned body. I tugged on the shirt wanting it off. He pulled away and gladly stripped it off for me before returning his lips to mine. I felt across that amazing chest and abs. Admiring his shoulders and back with my hands. He groaned again and ripped my shirt off. Wow I wasn't expecting that. He ran his hands down my curves and across my flat stomach. His fingers ran across my spine. Things died down after a little more making out and I was glad. All my energy was drained as Dex pulled me up against him. I rested my head on his chest listening to his heart beat as I ran my hand across his abs. My legs felt lighter and kind of cool. Then I realized I wasn't wearing pants wth? I glared at Dex who only smirked knowing exactly what I just found out. He pulled me tighter against him. He whispered goodnight and started playing with my hair. I was a goner after that and drifted to sleep.
