Chapter 12

"Radhika........" Arjun shouted loudly and ran towards her.

He put her head on his lap and put his hand on her wound to stop the bleeding "Please don't close your eyes. Look at me please."

He held her shoulders and shake it slightly to make her wake up. She was lying there as death and he can't see her like that.

His watched his hands covered with her blood. "Driver, come fast" he shouted for his car.

"Please don't leave me. I can't leave without you." His face was wet from tears but he didn't notice.

The car stop in front of him. Driver open the back seat quickly. Arjun pick her from both arms and got inside the car. Driver closed the door and sat in the front seat and started the car.

"Please drive fast. We need to go hospital as soon as fast." Arjun said with his shaky voice.

He put handkerchief on Radhu's head to stop bleeding "Please Radhu open your eyes. Don't sleep."

The car stopped at the hospital entrance. The pick her and went inside.

"Doctor, Please help." He shouted at the receptionist.

"Somebody help." Two ward boy came with stretcher and from behind doctor.

He check her pulse and look at the watch,

"Make the operation theatre ready, her pulse is getting low. We are losing her." He shouted at the Nurse. They take her to the operation theatre and close the door.

After 2 hours; 

 The door open and the Doctor came outside. He removed his mask and gloves whole walking towards Arjun. 

Arjun look at him with hope and said, "How is she now? She is fine na?"

Doctor put his hand on Arjun's shoulder with support.

"She had too much of blood loss. She got hit on her head which has caused her internal bleeding also. We can't predict when she will open her eyes. So she will kept under observation for 48 hours."

Arjun felt numb, all the voices were getting fade. His vision was getting blur and his whole body was shaking. "You already sir?" Doctor hold him and make him seat on the bench.

"Nurse bring him water." He ordered one of his nurse.

"You okay sir?" he asked him again. Nurse came with water and offered him but he refused to have it.

"Actually we have called police as it's a hit and run case, so you need to give your statement and they will be coming in 5-10minutes." Arjun nod his head.

He has not enough energy to speak.

My wife, my love is in hospital fighting for each breath. 

Memories were flooding in his brain. Her smiling face, her naughty behavior, her fights.

The way she cooked the food in kitchen. Everything was coming in front of his like film.

Nothing will happen to her. He will not let anything happen to her. Doctor brought Radhu out from operation room and shifted her to ICU. He followed them behind till ICU.

"Sorry sir, she need rest. You can't go inside now." Nurse stopped him and went inside. Arjun stood out the room and watched her from glass.

Radhu was sleeping on the bed covered with bed sheets. Her face was covered with oxygen mask and food pipe. Her heartbeat was continuously seen in the monitor. She look so peaceful while sleeping. Arjun felt his face wet. He touch his face and realized he has been crying from the long time. He loved her but has never realized it till now.

I love you Radhu. I won't let anything happen to you.

"Excuse me sir?" Arjun heard his name and came out from his zone. He look aside and saw three people standing in front of him in police uniform.

Inspector came towards him "Sir we want to write your statement about the accident."

"Okay what you want to ask?" Arjun replied with straight face, he don't want to show how broken was from inside, when he saw his wife in that state.  

""Can you tell us in brief about what happen?" Inspector asked him. He nod his head towards one of the subordinate and he remove his note pad and pen to write his statement.

"We both came towards basement, but I forgot my phone so I went again to my office and when I was returning I saw one SUV came and hit my wife purposely." he said in firm voice. He could clearly see the flashbacks of that accident. 

"Have you seen the number plate of the car or anything related to that?" Inspector ask him and then looked beside him.

"No, it was black SUV that's what I know but we have CCTV camera in the office basement so you can check that or else my watchman keeps the record of outside car record. You can ask him." H

"Thank you so much, we will try to find the person as so soon as possible."Inspector assured him. 

"Please I want you to find the culprit. I will talk to commission personally and tell him to look after this case personally."

"Sure Sir" Inspector shake his hand with Arjun and then he went from there.

Arjun sat outside Radhu's room. What had happen? He was so happy about their coffee date. From last 5 years she had first time approach to him. He can't afford to lose her again.

Everything was going so perfect between them and now he his standing in hospital outside this room and waiting for her to get up.

Doctor came outside.

Arjun got up and went towards her. "You can meet her now."

"Thank you" he head towards her room.

"Excuse me, Does she has any medical problem or she is taking any medicines so that we can recommend her medicines according to it." Doctor ask him.

What would he say? Even he don't know anything about her. He never try to ask her about her past life neither did she discuss about it. But how can she dicuss it when she don't even remember anything about her past life. 

Should I say him about the accident happened 5 years back or not? No I can't say if anyone knows then? But how can I hide it's about her health.

"Excuse me sir." He called him again. Arjun came back from his thoughts and replied to his question

"Yes she had an accident 5years ago and she suffered from memory loss"

"Okay, thanks we will take care from here." Doctor assured him and went from there.

Arjun entered the room and saw Raghu was lying on bed. Arjun came and sat beside her bed.

He took her hand in his hand and kissed her fingers.

"I really love you Radhu. Please get up. I can't leave without you." 

He hold her hand and touch his cheeks. His eyes were getting heavy and vision was getting blur. sleep was taking over him. He put his head on the side of the bed and closed his eyes.
