YOUR POV
Life is full of surprises. Some are very ordinary like a surprise party or some are REALLY surprising, kind of like when Adrien and I found out that he was not the species that we thought he was.As a half human/half mythological creature, your species is like your ethnicity; you cannot change what it is- even if you might want to. So, it was strange to be hearing that Adrien was indeed not completely human.
Shocked but feeling an immense pang of euphoria, Adrien excitedly asked, "So that means that y/n can have children of our own?"
My father nodded, grinning, "That is exactly what it means."
Adrien's judgments were clearly clouded and my father was too caught up in the fact that his son-in-law was a demon-adjacent. I, however knew better than that. I jumped into their conversation, "Look, I can understand that this is something new and amazing and, definitely worth all this excitement but may I ask just one question?"
My father nodded and Adrien smiled and threw an arm around me and flooded my face with affectionate kisses. Ignoring the embarrassment that he was giving me, I said, "I have to admit that this is probably one the best news that I've ever heard but don't you remember what I was like as a child?"
He smiled, "Yeah, you were amazing and a really big help during the war. You remember, don't you?"
I let out a sigh and then turned to Adrien and cupped his cheek, asking him, "I...- You wouldn't mind if I talked to my father alone for a minute, would you?"
Adrien smiled and took my hand, pressing his lips against it to kiss it and said to me, "Yeah, of course. Take as long as you need."

Being a half human/half demon wasn't as simple as it had seemed. Before finding out about Adrien being a completely different species than we had once thought that he was, I had been the very first and the only half human/half demon to ever live and that was dangerous. For all we knew, our friends could be the same species without even knowing it. And, it was scary because of how dangerous it is.
During the war, I had killed one billion mythological creatures. There was no sane excuse except for the fact that I wanted to bring nothing but honor into my family and to survive. And, if Adrien had an ounce of blood that belonged to that of a demon then he would change. His soul would no longer be completely human and with Enchantress eventually coming into the picture, I wouldn't be the only one who is constantly hurt and injured. As a newbie half human/half demon, that made Adrien even more vulnerable than me. And the truth was that I was genuinely worried about him.
Adrien had caught me in this moment of daze as we had been cuddling after our second round of sex that day so that the next time I'd check, we'd know for sure if I would be pregnant and if Adrien really was what my father claimed he was.
"Misty, you okay? Ever since we left your home planet you've been kind of distant. It's making me feel irrelevant- Not that I'm begging for attention! It just seems like you've got something on your mind, that's all." He turned to me, worry etched in his futures.
I laughed, finding it amusing that Adrien had thought that he had done something wrong to cause my strange actions- or lack thereof.
"Adrien, I promise you that there is nothing that you have done wrong. I just...- I was talking to my dad and if I'm being honest with myself, I'm worried about you." I looked up at Adrien, feeling my heart flutter as soon as he smiled as he was reassured and when I told him that I was worried about him.
"Why would you be worried? Nothing bad is going to happen to me." He cupped my cheek and leaned in to pull me into another kiss that we would have shared if it were not for the sound of distant knocking that we heard downstairs at our front door.
Adrien pouted and gave me a small peck on the lips and began to get dressed once again and tossed me my own clothes as well. After we had gotten dressed, he asked, "Do you want to tell what exactly you're so worried about? The cock-blocker can wait."
"Adrien...- I...- When you're the same species as me, you're more vulnerable than most. I'm an easy target to danger which means that the same can apply to you. I don't want you to get hurt, that's all." I expressed my concern to Adrien.
He smiled at me and said, "I understand where you're coming from because I've worried about you like this countless times before. But, I'll be fine, you can trust me."
I nodded and he pulled me into a hug, making me feel safe in our delicately soft embrace that held nothing but love and adoration. I felt safe in his arms and I knew that there was no better place for me to be in that moment. "I love you so much, Adrien." I whispered to my husband softly.
Adrien kissed the top of my head and murmured against my hair, "My love for you is eternal and iconic."
I laughed and pulled away from him, "Well, now that we've got that figured out, I'll be taking a pregnancy test and you can go get the door."
He nodded and gave me one kiss before he left. I knew that the conversation that we had just had about being our species was dangerous was far from over but for now, we had to put it on pause and focus on slightly more important things.
As I was waiting to see what the results of the pregnancy test had, I saw my kwami faze through the bathroom door and smack the pregnancy test out of my hand, causing it to land in the garbage bin.
I gasped, "Kayla! That's so gross!" I picked up the pregnancy test from the said area and disgusted, I placed it on the counter then turned to Kayla with an annoyed expression.
"What the hell was that about?"
Kayla giggled, "Sorry, y/n but I needed to get your attention."
"Well, you have it now. What is it?" I said, taking into account that whatever Kayla had to say to me must have been really important or else she would not have thrown my pregnancy test into the trash can.
"You need to go see who is at the door right now." Kayla instructed me and without hesitation, I did as I was told and saw something that I definitely had not expected to see.
Like I said, life is full of surprises but some are more interesting and effect people more than others would. Surprises can change someone's day or maybe someone's life
