Miley Cyrus continues to spiral out of control with her raunchy VMA performance.Parent's of Cyrus' fans definitely would not have approved of her behavior...

Interrupting my article on Miley, my assistant, Rebecca tapped on my shoulder. She knows to send me an email when she sees me working, so this should be important. I looked away from my computer and up and Rebecca's simple feature. She has mousy wavy brown hair, and a relatively pretty but normal face. Nothing extraordinarily special

"Vivian, Mr. Patterson would like to speak to you in his office." She said, tucking a loose strand of her brown hair behind her ear.

I saved my file and x-ed out before I standing up and said, "Thanks, Bex." And brushed off my pants, trying to at least look a little more presentable for my unexpected meeting with the boss.

As I came closer to his office, his trusty secretary, Claire looked up to see who was coming towards. Probably preparing to stop any intruders, for he was obviously waiting for me. When she saw me, Claire put a slight smile on her face and nodded, acknowledging that I was allowed in.

Suddenly a lot less confident, I sluggishly walked closer to my bosses office. The nerves getting worse and worse as I took more steps. I honestly have no idea why I have been called. I wasn't aware of a meeting today, and I certainly don't think I'm getting fired. Not that I am the best writer here, but I think I'm pretty good. But it's not like anyone expects top notch journalism for a gossip magazine.

But who am I kidding? I'm practically a paparazzi, I write celebrity gossip for a living. Taking risks is my life. So when I finally gained the courage, I opened the door to Mr. Patterson's office, to see him seated comfortably in his, no doubt about it, ridiculously expensive chair.

But the other person in the room was definitely not expected.

Skye Miller.

Ever since I started working here, the girl has been out to get me. She always tries to steal my stories, or tells me false information to try to make me look bad. It's as if her life mission was to destroy my life. If so she's been doing a damn good job. And by the look of her smug face, it's obviously not going to get much better from here.

"Ah, Ms. Baker, please take a seat." Mr. Patterson said, pointing at the seat next to Skye's, which I reluctantly did. "I'm sure the two of you are wondering why you have been called."

Skye and I nodded.

"Do you two know why I hired you?" He asked. We both shook our heads.

"Well, Vivian didn't even go to college, and Skye failed. So definitely not for academic achievement."

Frankly, if he's just going to insult us, I have no interest in being here. I could see that Skye had the same thoughts, by the sight of her pursed lips and crossed arms. But now that I think about it, why did he hire us? We write for a living, for all he know's we could have been illiterate.

"I hired you because you are both great at what you do. Skye is obviously a great gossip, and Vivian a great writer. You two are my best workers, honestly." He smiled, and so did Skye and I. We both took pride in what we did. Even if it could possible ruin a celebrity's life, these stories we wrote were like our babies. And having someone of such power compliment the work we put into it was an amazing feeling.

"Which is why I am offering you a promotion."

"Yes!" Skye and I said at the same time.

"But, only one of you will get it."
