Aarti opened her eyes as the sunlight peeked into the room scanning the area. So she had been sitting the whole night on the floor keeping her head on the bed. Engraining her brain back to last night, she elicited his words and whatever transpired between them...
Veer was not seen around at all. She rubbed her swollen eyes and sat on the bed thinking about the circumstances that have shaped into such a big clutter in her life...
She never wanted this, even if this was her last wish on earth. She loves him more than anything else, though she knew very well that he has never admitted about his feelings for her. Now she is unsure about him even liking her...forget about the love.
Finally she was getting herself out of her fancies about Veer being lovable because this was utterly impossible. It would be like hitting your head on the stone...
All her dreams about him being romantic were drained...she now feared she might lose him forever even as a friend. Aarti knew he can do anything for truth and he can turn absolutely worse for a lie...
Veer will purely detest her now, her thoughts streamed in her brain. Nothing would exacerbate more than this comprehensive jumble.
No wonder she didn't had any bad intents at the time she spoke about this falsehood but Veer wouldn't tolerate this kind of fib at all and she has perceptibly done something that will not only make him livid but fill abhorrence in his heart for her.
Feeling embarrassed now for something that she did out of her immaturity or childishly whatever the reason may, she thought of finding for a suitable elucidation to the problem arisen...
Quickly making a ponytail out of her messy hair, she looked outside the window at the pleasant weather that was torturing her inside. Aarti opened her wardrobe to pick up her clothes when her eyes fell on his pressed uniform on the hanger. With moist eyes she lifted the hanger and hugged the uniform "I am so sorry Veer...please try to understand".
-------------------------------------------------------------------
She came out of the shower wearing her white top and blue denims. She was still drying her hair when she thought of calling Sheetal and all her friends over... may be that could help Veer and herself overlook this situation at least for some time...
Her eyes fell on her red cheek that still showed his fingerprints. Out of sudden he sauntered irately inside the room...she saw him shifting his things in another room...thinking she has now no right to stop him or even if she did he wouldn't even listen to her but Aarti would never give up.
She was thinking a way out to stop him when she heard some things falling on the floor making noise...obviously he was showing his fury...
After few minutes she gathered herself a little courage and walked up to him. He didn't look at her instead picked up his laptop and started doing some work "I am sorry Veer" she said softly standing behind her..
At first he didn't reacted...
She tried to touch his shoulder when he turned around "don't you dare..." he frowned angrily alarming her...
"Veer... please listen..." she tried to explain
"Get out of here, I want to end this so called contract marriage right now" he got up from his chair "and I swear this time I won't listen to anyone"
He pointed furiously at her...
Tears gathered around her eyes... she was expecting this but not to this extent where he was ready to break his marriage...how can she even think about this.
