"You can't kill him"

Veer turned around at the female voice...

She sucked in a sharp breath the moment he stared at her. Lachi was shocked, stunned, flabbergasted, amazed, wonderstruck, mesmerized by his physique. She had never seen someone like him before. He was young, far from her expectations....

A girl in her early twenties was standing at some distance, dressed up in a small blouse and a long skirt, with a net dupatta covering her front. Hair messed up and dark features with a frown on her forehead. Due to the heat some drops of sweat were visible clearly around her face...

Veer stepped towards her "And I will not leave a chance to kill him"

She glowered at Veer who stood at some distance with his RT in the hand... she saw the medals on his uniform and the fearless look on his face... Presumably he was getting ready for his action...

She looked straight in his eyes taking one more step closer to the soldier she felt like the ground will give out under her tiny body mass. Every step was so light that she made no sound at all. With her fearful face and body language, walking softly forward, she brought all her effort to speak up in front of him again...

"He has killed so many police officials, people fear even with his name. He is not scared of anyone, if he comes in front of you, you will not get a place to hide and..." she continued

He cut her in between "Stop this rubbish and start worrying about him now" he wore his sunglasses and walked away making Lachi wonder.

The shooting words from the officer's mouth hurt through her body like icy, liquid metal. She clenched her fists as she hesitantly took each step. She noticed her feet tremble. Her legs twitched, fighting the impulse to whirl around.

Lachi for the first time saw an officer who was not petrified at all, even police officials are terrified of Lotiya, and no one wants to get their transfer in this region....

Her heart throbbed in fear as she stood up against the hot blowing winds. For Lachi this was the first time she saw someone who was least bothered about Lotiya's attack, or even his fearful stories. No wonder he was not at all alarmed about the danger he was about to face

Yashpal watched Lachi staring at Veer "One mark of Major Veer is that he fights on his own terms" Lachi turned around to look at Yashpal who walked away following Veer.

Lachi stood thinking for a while, Veer had the kind of face that could stop anyone in their tracks. She guessed the officer must be used to that, the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they must have looked his way followed by overcorrecting with a calm gaze and a smile. Of course the rage that accompanied it was a dead give-away...

The evening sun was settling down in the nearest mountains around the small place.

Kavita and Arjun hopped off the three wheeler drive. Quiet astonished at the sight Kavita was about to faint...not only was it hard to believe but so difficult to understand how to reach the other side of the village...

No road or path was visible so they could cross over, they were standing on the main road just opposite Chakkittapara. Arjun carefully looked around the whole place.... They could see the village surrounded by palm trees, no transport was visible at all, and small cattle was seen roaming the paths....

Merely after observing for few minutes, did they realize that the only way to reach the other side was by crossing the river when they saw few school kids sitting on the boat and going the other side.
