Aarti sat back hearing the news that spread in the whole nation regarding the terrorist's attacks in the upper north territories in the country. She knew Veer must be prepared for this and he might leave soon...
"Look at this now" Rama frowned at Aarti "I told you so many times that you have married a wrong man, but you never listened"
"Mom please. Veer is not wrong. He's a committed officer for God sake" Aarti shouted at her mother and walked away...
Aarti was dismayed with her own mother who always grumbled about Veer. But she knew he was a courageous soldier and anyone would be proud of him... she herself would be happy to send him on this mission but her mother fails to understand her feelings every time...
She was still standing in the garden when she saw him getting off the jeep and talking to someone on the RT...
"Yes Sir, we are fully equipped with that and all ready for the counter-terrorism"
Aarti saw him walking straight to his study...he seemed too occupied with his things that he didn't even look at her.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Aarti watched him eating dinner, her mother stared at her...
"Veer" Rama looked at him... "We know this is your contract marriage with Aarti... and it will most likely end in another three months...you know we did this to save your Father..." Rama continued...while Veer was busy eating...
Aarti's heart battled as her mother was about to ask him...
"We thought of taking Aarti along with us now...there is no point in this relationship anymore." Rama looked at Aarti then watched Veer...
"Rama, Aarti is Veer's wife, whether a contract or not..." Manmohan was completing when Rama interrupted again "let Veer decide Manmohan"
After listening to Rama, he looked at Aarti "your mother is right...you must leave with her"
He said and finished his dinner
Aarti shockingly looked at him...she never expected him to behave like this. He was calmly eating his dinner as if nothing had happened...he didn't even thought about her feelings once. All these years she faced his cold attitude and now he doesn't even want her to stay in his life anymore.
He always took her as granted, she wanted to stop the tears from her eyes. How many times will she keep on forcing herself on him? Will he ever accept her in front of everyone with his own will? Will he ever accept that he loves her? All these questions were bombarding her mind again and again...
"Ok then, Aarti you pack your bag. We will leave tomorrow." Rama said then looked at Veer again who almost finished his dinner
"When are you leaving tomorrow? We just heard about the mission and"
"Early morning. Goodnight" he said and walked away...
She watched him leaving to his room. How can anyone be so ruthless? May be he doesn't have any feelings for her and she's the one who keeps on dreaming day and night about his wellbeing, his safety.
She didn't even look at her plate, forget eating anything.
She left the plate and walked up to his room
"Aarti" Rama shouted but Manmohan stopped her "let her go and speak to him"
"But Manmohan she promised me if Veer says no than she will come with us" Rama angrily looked at her husband...
Manmohan shook his head "why are you so much meddling in her life?"
"Because I am her mother, and I know about her betterment" Rama replied
Manmohan knew it was impossible to make her understand anything...he felt bad for his daughter who was in love with Veer and every time forcibly things were put on her shoulders...
------------------------------------------
"Why did you say this to Mom... don't you want me to stay here?" she shouted at him
He frowned and stared at her "stop shouting and yes I want you to go from here"
She looked at his cold attitude towards her...for the first time she didn't wanted to explain or say anything more to him. His callous behavior showed her everything.
She wanted to cry but she didn't "thank you Veer... thank you very much for everything" she snapped at him.
"Remember one thing Mr. Veer Oberoi, a day will come when destiny will make you collide with me again...and that time I will have no feelings for you. I will fight with my fate myself and obliterate all those feelings that I had for you in these years. For you Aarti is dead"
He stared at her "Aarti"
"You have lost all the right to call me" she furiously shut the door behind and walked away...
He opened his laptop to complete his work when he thought about Aarti for a moment...
"I would rather spend the rest of my life without ever seeing you again." He said to himself "than watch them destroy you because of me"
------------------------------------------------------------------
Aarti packed all her bags. Rama walked in and saw her not crying but she looked still angry. "I am doing for your good Aarti"
Aarti didn't look at her "I know. You don't have to explain me anything"
She lifted the bag and kept it near the bed "let me sleep now"
Rama smiled and patted on her shoulder before leaving... Aarti stared at the ceiling. She didn't cry, she made a point to herself that she would herself get out of his life now. From now onwards she has nothing to do with him.
If he is too straight with his life and plans...then she is prepared to spend her life without him. This time she's least concerned about him. He's thrown her like a tissue paper out of his life... she thought again, she was actually never a part of him...he never considered her. From the first day she saw him, she faced all his merciless brashness.
Time and again he keeps on showing her his rude side but now she will go far from him...so far that even his shadow won't be able to touch her...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Aarti opened her eyes and looked at the clock, it was almost 9am. She got ready and kept her bags in the car...
Manmohan saw her daughter with no expressions "Aarti...if you want to stay. You can"
Aarti looked at his dad "I had and have no relation with this man...then why I should stay here. Let's go Dad"
Manmohan watched Aarti sitting in the car. Soon the car left the place...

Author's note
"A flower knows, when its butterfly will return,
and if the moon walks out, the sky will understand;
but now it hurts, to watch you leave,
when I don't know, if you will ever come back."
