Chapter 34: Declined

Tobirama's P.O.V

I accidentally told Madara he was going to be Hokage before Hashirama did... So what?

"Me... Hokage?" Madara said still shocked.

Happiness in 5, 4, 3, 2-

"ARE YOU DUMB?!"  He yelled looking at me furiously.

"I DECLINE!  I DON'T WANT TO BE HOKAGE!"  Madara said and my eyes widened.
"What do you mean you don't want to be Hokage?!  You should be thanking Hashirama for choosing you!"  I yelled at him.

"HASHIRAMA!!!"  Madara roared.  Madara marched back to the get together.

Why doesn't he want to be Hokage anymore?  I even changed because I realized he could well suit it.  I've been preparing for him to take over.  He can't just decline!!

Hashirama's P.O.V

"I really need to talk to Madara."  I said and Yoshima looked at me strangely.
"Then ask him.  He wouldn't decline."  She said and I scratched the back of my head laughing awkwardly.
"He did though." I said and Yoshima furrowed her eyebrows.
"Was he eating when you asked him?"
"Yeah-"
"That's why."  Yoshima sighed.

"HASHIRAMA!!!"  I heard an angry Madara.  He stomped towards me.  He was mad.
"W-What?!  I didn't do anything!"  I cried.  He grabbed me by my collar and dragged me away.

What's going on?

"I'm the next Hokage?!"  Madara whispered yelled as we stood behind a big free talking in secret.
"Tobirama told you?"  I smiled.  He didn't.  He was angry.

"Aren't you happy?"  I asked.
"I don't want to be Hokage.  I decline."  Madara glared and then walked away.

This doesn't make any sense..  He's always wanted Hokage.  Why doesn't he want it now?

He must be overwhelmed.  He probably wants to be Hokage..  He isn't serious.

"Madara!  Madara!"  I yelled looking for him.
"Hashirama?"  Yoshima questioned as she sat with Yuki and Kuro.
"Do you know where Madara is?"
"No..  I thought he was with you."
"He left me."
"He hasn't returned here."  Yoshima said.  I watched her eyes move to the corner of it.  Her mouth opened.  She stared in disbelief.

"I'm gonna find him."  She said standing up.
"No I should."
"No.  It's best that I do.  You need to tell me, what you said to him."  She said and I gave a sad look.  It bothered me that Madara was so bothered by me telling him he's Hokage.

Yoshima's P.O.V

"I chose Madara to be the next Hokage."  Hashirama said and my jaw dropped and quickly turned into a big smile.
"That's amazing!"  I yelled shaking Hashirama.
"Madara declined."  Hashirama said and silence filled the air.  The wind blew and I started to process what he just say.
"What?"
"He was so mad and said he decline.  He stomped away."

I put a sad expression thinking about when Madara realized what he was doing was wrong.  He broke down in front of me..  He started to say how he was a monster.

"I think I know why.  He doesn't feel like he's capable to do it anymore."  I softly said.

"I'm gonna go talk to him about it.  He's just not confident.  Watch Yuki and Kuro for me."  I yelled running away.
