Chapter 20: Keeping Faith Strong

Yoshima's P.O.V

My eyes were closed and I felt darkness completely surround me. I was standing in complete darkness alone.

Madara doesn't love me at all. Why...why am I fighting for someone who isn't worth it? For someone who doesn't love me?

Was my whole life a mistake? Fighting for him? Why am I so useless... I dedicated myself to someone who doesn't want me. Even in the after life... I want to save the man who is drowning in darkness...but I too am suffocating in darkness. Everything is so confusing...

'Madara is a man who has been corrupted by his family's ideals.' My mother's voice lingered through my thoughts.

Madara wasn't always like this. He use to be extremely sweet, and kind. Madara was more relaxed back then.

'Open his eyes and show him what's right...  Don't give up on him.  Yoshima, you are the only one that can change him.'

I can only change him, huh? He's being weighed down by his family's ideals. He's way better than that. Madara is my husband.

'Yoshima...'

...I'm his wife, Yoshima Uchiha. I won't let him drown no more. I will open Madara's eyes. No matter what it takes.

"YOSHIMA!!!"  My eyes opened and all I could see was the young Uchiha's face and Tobirama.
"I'm alive..?"  I asked weakly. 
"Well you were never alive."  Sasuke said and I glared at him.  I looked at the men and realized Tobirama was armless.
"Did I miss something?"  I asked sitting up.
"Nothing really.  Madara was just reanimated."  Tobirama said.
"WHAT?!"  I screamed jumping onto my feet.
"How?!" I yelled shaking the armless Tobirama.
"His Uchiha friend." Tobirama said and I slowly turned my head to Sasuke. I glared at him.
"NOT ME YOU DUMB BITCH!" He yelled and I squinted my eyes at him.
"Okay. I believe you."

"Take me to Madara." I said and Sasuke placed his hand on my shoulder.
"You aren't in any shape to face Madara. Naruto and I will." He said and my eyes widened.
"Are you mad?! He'll kill you!" I yelled.
"Madara's the 10 tails Jinchuuriki. You can't face him. With that power, no matter what you say won't get to him. You should stay put." Sasuke said and I gritted my teeth.

He's becoming stronger and stronger minute by minute. I fell asleep and let him. I will change him no matter what anyone says.

"I will bring Madara back to himself... That man is my husband. He has been corrupted. You aren't going to stop me from saving him!" I yelled at Sasuke.
"You don't understand anything! He isn't normal anymore. The Madara you once knew is probably long gone. He's probably dead. You are going to stay here. I'm going to go kill him." Sasuke said and I slapped his hand away.

"You can hurt Madara all you want! But you can't stop him from getting what he wants. You can't stop Madara. You can be the strongest person ever, but whatever Madara wants, he'll get it." I said with a sly smirk. Sasuke stared at me curiously.

"Go. Go stop him." I spat in Sasuke's face.
"Second, bring me to Madara." Sasuke said and Tobirama nodded.

Tobirama stood in front of me.
"You are making the right choice. You can't stop Madara now. Madara will be taken down once and for all." He said and I turned away from him.

"Go. Go try and kill Madara." I muttered and I listened to them leave.  This world will go to ruins.  I should fight Madara.  Not anyone else. 

Sasuke saying that the Madara I once knew is long gone.  I felt an achy feeling in my heart.  I'm trying to keep faith strong, but something's always breaking me down.

"So you are just going to stand here and do nothing?"  I heard a voice.  I turned to see Rin Uchiha.
"Shouldn't you be with your brother?"  I asked ignoring her question.  She glared at me.
"I don't care about what he does.  I just want to win this war.  We won't win unless you change Madara."  She said.
"He's been revived.  Sasuke and Naruto will just kill him."  I said and she frowned.
"You were just giving a whole speech and you are giving up just like that. Putting your words to waste. You are trying to break through his boundaries. With that man, it will take more than a small speech. It will take force, pain, and a hell lot of love. Right now you are at the surface while he's drowning. You need to reach down or even go all the way in to the dark waters and pull him out." She said and I stared at her intensively.

"If you really want something, you have to fight for it.. Right?" Rin said staring at me.

"If Madara dies, he won't learn from his mistakes.  Make him learn from his mistakes."

"It will be hard, but it will work."  Rin said and I still frowned.  It's Madara though.

Rin stared at me with a disappointed look.

"You left me no choice."  She sighed as her eyebrows furrowed.  She bit her finger and slapped the ground.

"Summoning Jutsu!" She yelled and a giant bat appeared.
"What the-" She jumped onto the bat dragging me as well.

"I'm not going to-" I realized how far off the ground we were already.  I shrieked and sat on the center of the bat's back.

"Why would you do that?!"  I yelled at her as she stood on the flying bat looking ahead.
"The war needs to come to an end before Madara gets both Rinnegans."  She said and I looked at her strangely.  Doesn't he already have the Rinnegan?

"I'll explain everything, but you have to promise to stop Madara.  My dumb brother and Naruto can't affect Madara like you can."  She stared at me seriously.  Her Mangekyou Sharingan pierced through me.  She was angry.

I gave her nod.
