Morgan went to work the next day and had a hell of a time. Her work was so far behind that she would end up working over time the whole week to catch up. On her drive home, she called Jess to inform her of yesterday's events.

"Wait a second. He told you that he wants to get to know you then you basically told him you had to leave? That's kinda messed up..." Jess replied at the end of the story.

"Well what was I supposed to do!? I was already freaking out and then he said something like that and I didn't know what to say! I was so embarrassed the entire time we were talking!"

"Right....so is this the first relationship you've ever been in? Cuz it sounds like a grade school conversation to me..." Jess added sarcastically.

"Very funny. I'm just not sure what to say to him and I just don't know what to do!"

"That part is super simple, you've done it a thousand times. You talk to the man like a normal human being! Then as you talk, you see if you like him! If you do, then great! Have sexy time and get married or some shit!"

"This is probably the most riviting advice you've ever given me..."

They both laughed.

"But seriously Morgan, he's just a guy. You've talked to plenty of them before, you will be fine."

"Yea your right, I'm probably just over thinking everything."

"Hun, I know you are over thinking everything. Oh and also I'm pretty sure you could probably get a skype app on your phone..that way you don't have to fuck around with your computer."

"Hmm good idea."

When she arrived home Monday evening at 7 pm she heated up some pasta leftovers and turned on the computer. When she signed on to skype, sure enough Daniel was on. She started to write him a message but then he called her.

"Good evening."

"Well hello, how are you today?" Morgan said in between bites of food.

"I'm pretty good, had a normal day of editing. How about you? How was your first day back at work?"

"Horrible. The people who I asked to help take care of my work didn't do the greatest job and now I'm going to be staying late for a while to fix the mistakes."

"Oh so you did come home late today. What time zone are you in?"

Oh god. That's right, we could live days away from eachother. Morgan thought to herself quickly.

"Um, Eastern time..."

"Oh wow me too!"

It seemed that they both had a small sigh of relief that they weren't across the continent from eachother.

"I'm glad." Morgan said as she took another bite of her food. "Uh, I didn't mean anything weird by that..."

He laughed "No it's alright, I'm glad too. So what's for dinner eh?"

"Noodles from last night. I didn't get the chance to go grocery shopping and pasta is all I had that hadn't expired."

"Yum, so do you like to cook?"

"Yea I'm pretty good at making some things, but I'm not the best at making complicated dishes. I prefer the simple stuff. What about you?"

"I really like to cook. I love that the different amounts of a certain thing can make a food delicious or nasty."

"Yea I've heard that lots of scientists tend to like cooking because it's like science for your mouth."

He laughed out loud again, "Cooking is science for you mouth, I like that, that's the type of phrase that could go on a t-shirt. Wait so that makes me a scientist now?"
