Unexpected Happenings (An Ethoslab Fanfic)

Chapter -ELEVEN-

Morgans' eyes shot open as her alarm was unusually loud. Slamming the snooze button she laid back down. She had slept so deeply last night but her face felt tired, probably from all the tears. After a few moments of enjoying the warmth and comfort of her bed, she got up and ready for the day. Washing her face and applying some eye cream helped her face feel refreshed.

The work day seemed to progress quite smoothly. Being Friday, the workload was lighter and everyone was anxious to start the weekend. At the end of work, Morgan gave Jess a call.

"Hello?"

"Hey hun, how are you feeling?"

"I'm alright. Just kinda here. I let out so much yesterday that I feel pretty numb today. Thank you for being the best friend a girl could hope for. I really appreciate you cuddling the pain away." Jess replied, her voice still slightly hoarse.

"No problem Jess, that's what I'm here for. Do you want me to come over tonight or anything?" Morgan asked.

"No no. It's alright. It's kind of nice to be alone right now. I'm a hot mess, but I'm not a total disaster."

"Ok, and what are you thoughts about this weekend?"

"This weekend? I can guarantee I'm not going out to the club or anything. I believe I have a date with my couch, some horrible junk food and alot of junk TV." Jess replied.

"Ahh ok. So you wouldn't be upset if I wasn't really around this weekend?" Morgan probed lightly.

"Its fine Morgan. I know your worried about me, but I'll be fine. This isn't my first breakup. Wait. Why though? What are your plans?" Jess replied, she started to sound curious and almost suspicious of Morgans' question.

"Well...um....I'm kinda planning to go visit Daniel. He actually came over to see me on Wednesday. Turns out he lives in xyz town and is only a hour and a half away." Morgan said very lightly.

"HE CAME TO SEE YOU?! Why didn't you tell me?!" Jess practically screamed in the phone.

"Ouch. Sorry, I was trying to be a supportive friend instead of telling you my news." She replied sarcastically, "Yea he came over on Wednesday night and slept over-"

"HE SLEPT OVER?! DID YOU BANG HIM?" Jess did scream into the phone this time. Her voice cracking with strain.

"Oh my gosh woman calm down. Your going to burst your vocal cords. No I didn't bang him. But we got to one, maybe two of the bases? I kinda..um...blew him...." She trailed off, her cheeks flushed at the memory.

There was pure silence on the other line.

"Jess....are you still there?"

"Yupp." Jess practically whispered.

Morgan gave out a large vocal sigh.

"My Morgan has grown into a real woman. All on her own. Where has the time gone?" Jess said, sounding like a proud grandma whose grandchild just won an award.

"Alright alright. Now your just being melodramatic."

"And I wasn't before? No, but seriously, I'm super happy for you hun. Go have fun with your man this weekend." Jess said much calmer. Morgan could tell she was genuine in her words.

"Thanks Jess, your the best."

They soon got off the phone, and Morgan went home. At home, she made some dinner for herself and went to the computer. Logging into skype she started a call with Daniel as she ate her meal.

"Hey Morgan, your going to need to give me a few minutes to finish recording a segment alright? Did you want me to call you back or just mute you?"

"Just mute me, I'll be eating dinner listening to the spoiler."

Daniel proceeded to mute her and continue recording. Morgan always enjoyed watching him work. It was like a personal behind the scenes look at making youtube videos. About ten minutes later, he turned off his recording software.

"Hey, sorry about that."

"Its alright, I don't mind getting a small look into your next episode. That was the modded server right?"

"Yupp, so how are you doing?"

"I'm doing pretty well, work was pretty alright. I am very excited to put on a face mask before bed and relax a little."

"Ahh that's good. So did you ever talk to Jess and get a feel for what the weekend holds?" He asked lightly

"Yea, I've got good news for you, I'll totally be able to come over. I'll head over tomorrow morning." Morgan said with a large smile.

Slowly his face began to perk up as a smile emerged on his face.

"Seriously? You not kidding with me are you?" He asked.

"I promise, so you should probably give me your full address. I have a few errands that I need to run so I'll be able to head over to you around 11 or 12. Is that alright?"

"Yes of course that's alright! Oh this is great Morgan!" Daniel said, the excitement clearly visible on his face.

They continued their conversation for a while longer. After the call, Morgan showered and enjoyed a soothing face mask. The next morning, she packed some clothes and toiletries. After her errands she made her way to Daniel's home.
