"I'm in this room way too often." Sally said to no one in particular.

The people she was currently in the presence of seemed to find her words amusing. Johnny and Surge chuckled to their hearts content while Tanner fiddled with his drumsticks, shaking his head in amusement.

Sally furrowed her brows for a quick second before asking, "What's so funny?"

Surge replied, a wide, amused grin still on his face, "You're not the only one who finds themselves in the choir room more than any other place." He waved towards his bandmates, "We're not even part of the glee club, yet we're in here for almost every meeting AND to rehearse, because sadly, McKinley lacks a band hall."

Sally just shrugged as she closed the fallboard to the black piano. She made no notion that she was going to respond, so Johnny spoke up. "You know, with Sectionals coming up, you're going to be in here a lot more than usual."

Sally finally looked at the guys that were standing by their instruments and squinted at them, "Are you two trying to put me in a bad mood?" She wagged her finger at them and let out a scoff so they knew she was teasing. Sometimes they took her remarks too seriously, as they were doing now.

Johnny chuckled before taking a more serious tone with her, "Are you not excited for Sectionals?"

Sally almost chuckled herself. What was there to be excited about? The prospect of performing had been looming over her head for days and the only feelings she ever felt were discontent. The only time she felt any better was when she played piano, which was why she was currently in the choir room. Sally had joined the boys for a quick morning play session. Getting lost in playing music relaxed her more than belting out a note with New Directions.

In response to Johnny's question, Sally simply shrugged and looped her arm around her backpack. "I'll see you guys later."

There were a good five minutes until the morning bell would sound. Since Schuster's class was across the hall from the choir room, Sally was sat in her seat in less than two minutes. She nonchalantly glanced to her side to the desk Lauren Zizes would normally sit in once class started. Lauren normally arrived after the bell, so it was no wonder it was empty.
