Justice had to take a moment to gather herself after what had just happened.Because what had just happened? One minute he was berating her and the next he had been all over her. What kind of game was he playing? And why had she given into it?
Her cheeks burned with embarrassment and she looked around, to make sure that nobody else had seen what went on. Luckily, it was just the woman behind the desk and she still wasn't paying attention.
She walked deeper into the foyer, and up the stairs she had watched Luc walk up several minutes before.
He hadn't even explained to her why they were here. He just expected to follow him like a lost puppy. Although it wasn't like she could do anything else.
The stairs led up to a corridor that was full of office like rooms. Each room had its door opened and as she walked past she could see that someone was sitting behind a desk on each one. Like the woman at the reception, they were all typing away on their computers, only looking up once they noticed that she was walking past.
Luc was stood by another reception desk at the end of the corridor, shamelessly flirting with the woman behind it. Justice narrowed her eyes, jealousy bubbling in her stomach as she watched the woman throw her head back and laugh at something Luc was saying.
When she approached them, she was in the middle of offering him a drink.
"Well thank you Patricia. Now that you mention it, I am incredibly thirsty." Luc's eyes glittered as he addressed her and Justice rolled her eyes as Patricia bit her lip.
Just a few seconds ago, he had his mouth all over her neck and now he was flirting with her? She felt anger rising through her and couldn't pin point why. She wasn't even usually like this. She didn't own Luc. Sure, they were supposed to be getting married but she didn't want to anymore than he wanted her so why was this girl getting under her skin?
She cleared her throat noisily in an attempt to get her attention. Either she was so engrossed in Luc that she hadn't noticed Justice standing there, or she was purposely ignoring her.
"And who are you, might I ask?" Patricia stopped smiling at Luc to look her up and down.
Justice didn't answer but merely glared at Luc.
"My drink, Patricia?"
"Oh yes, I'll be right back." She sashayed away, making sure to put an extra sway in her walk as she did. Luc watched on appreciatively while Justice sat down sulking.
Luc sat down too, leaving a seat between them which left Justice both annoyed and relieved. Her emotions were all out of whack and he was the cause of it.
Patricia came back out carrying a tray with one single glass placed in the middle and Justice felt like grabbing it and smashing it over her head. This heated anger had come out of nowhere and this woman wasn't doing anything to help calm her down.
Bending over slightly, Patricia served Luc his drink giving them both a wonderful view of the cleavage in her blouse.
Luc's gaze travelled from her face, down her neck and to her chest. He was all too familiar with Patricia's ways. Almost as familiar as he was with her body. She was trying to mark her territory...
He took the glass from her grinning as he did, and Justice felt her stomach lurch. The anger had consumed her so much that she couldn't even hear the conversation they were having. She could see their lips moving but the only thing she could hear was her heart pounding in her ears. Her fists clenched as she watched Luc tip the glass towards his lips and only then did she notice that she'd brought him a glass of blood.
