"And...cut," David said for about the millionth time. "You know what, let's take five," He came towards me.
"You're doing good, but remember to be more clear when you talk."
"Ok guys, let's get back to the scene. Hazel, do a quick touch up on Jennifer's makeup," David said, snapping.
Hazel rushes over with a small packet of makeup and touches up my blush, mascara, and eye shadow. She quickly sprays my hair and face before leaving the set. I smooth down my skirt and get ready for the next scene.
It was pretty stressful playing a main role in a movie.
"Um Jennifer, can you move, you're kind of in my way," Cameron, the guy playing the main role in Struck said. "You're also blocking the spotlight," he's said, rudely pushing me aside. "Hey... can someone get me water... my throat hurts." I actually saw a camera man roll his eyes at someone.
Another reason why this movie is so stressful, because I always have to put up with Cameron.
"Hey," Faith said, catching up to me. "I got you a couple more outfits for the next few scenes," she said, handing me a bag with about five sizes of the same costume. Faith took one out.
"I need you to try this one on. It's for your next scene."
I headed towards my dressing room with the costumes and tried one on. Faith waited outside and came to check if it fit. Unfortunately, it was too big. So, I had to try on more costumes as until I found one that fit.
I was about to leave when Hazel ran into my dressing room with a makeup kit.
Not again, I thought as Hazel fixed up my makeup as quickly as she could and left.
Finally, I thought. I ran as quickly as possible and ended up running into a man from the camera crew.
"We've added a few changes to the script," he said, handing the script to me.
"Alright. I'll read it later." I sprint back to my dressing room, almost knocking my chair over, and put the script in my bag. I run to the set, hoping I'm not late.
"It's about time," Cameron said. "What took you so long?" he asked. But before I had a chance to answer, he immediately interrupted me. "You know what... let's just get back to the scene," he said in a whiny tone.
"Fine," I said as we got ready.
"Ok," said David. "And-" He was immediately cut of by Cameron.
"Hang on," he said, pushing me to the side. "Sorry, you're in my spotlight again." Well, I'm sorry you're in my life, I thought just as we were about to begin the scene.
"And... action!"
***
It took a while to finish that same scene because of Cameron. Since he kept whining and complaining, we had to keep stopping.
I was so tired and a little nauseous that if I was going to throw up, my target was on Cameron. Oh wait, if I did that, he won't be able to be in his spotlight.
I'm pretty sure the day I figured out that we were broke was better than today.
Then I realized it was time to go for the day. I ran to my dressing room, grabbed my stuff, and Hazel drove me home.
"Thanks," I said, entering the hotel.
"No problem," Hazel said, driving away.
I put swiped my key card, and drop my bag on the floor. I immediately fall onto my bed and pull over my covers.
What a day, I thought, closing my eyes. I got in a comfortable position and began to fall asleep when I heard a knock on the door. "I'm coming!" I said as the person kept knocking.
"What do you want?" I said sleepily before I realized it was Hazel. "Hazel! I'm sorry I didn't know you were coming."
"Yeah... I just came to give you the script changes," she said, handing me the booklet.
"Oh... thanks," I said as Hazel left.
I sat on my bed to read the script.
"Ok, this part seems to be the same-" My jaw dropped when I read the next part. I couldn't believe what was going to happen.
I would have to kiss Cameron.
