Stage Fright

Chapter 12

I'm awaken by a clap of thunder.

I've had a hard time sleeping from the thunder and lightning and the fact that I'd have to almost kiss Cameron.

I closed my eyes until I manage to fall asleep.

I hear footsteps and then a loud knock on my door. I check the time. 7:15...

I immediately jump out of bed realizing the time.

"I'm going to be late!" I shouted, grabbing my random clothes and open the door.

I calm down when I realize it's Hazel and Faith.

"Sorry guys. I woke up late and-"

Hazel stops me. "What's the rush?"

I look at her strangely. "What do you mean What's the rush? We have to be at the studio-" I'm cut off again.

"Haven't you heard?" Faith said. "Actings cancelled for today due to the thunder."

"I thought we were filming indoors," I replied.

"No. You were going to do the scene outside," Hazel said.

That made Me feel a load being lifted off my shoulders.

"Wait... if the studio's closed, then why are you here?"

"Because..." Faith and Hazel look at each other.

"We are going to hang out the whole day!" they say together.

I clapped my hands cheerfully. "Really! I'm so excited!"

"The best part is, we're going to stay in your area to be safe."

"Ok. So, what are we doing first?" I asked.

We ended up going to the spa in my hotel, which (of course) I've never been to before.

Wow, I thought during the foot massage. I never thought I would feel so uncomfortable being with my closest friends.

"Well, you know that mall a couple blocks away from here?" Faith said, after we left the spa.

"Oh yeah. I've heard of it," I said.

"Let's go!" Hazel said.

Hazel, Faith, and I got into Hazel's car and found a spot in the parking lot.

We entered the luxurious mall with a small waterfall at the entrance. It was pretty crowded, but I was ok with that.

We went to tons of clothing stores, which made me forget about having to almost kiss Cameron.

It was hard finding clothes with people who had a sense of style. All I wore was graphic t's with pants. But they found me tons of blouses and skirts that they would pay for, so I took it.

We found a map of the mall to see if there were any other stores to go to.

"There's seems to be a lot of food places," I pointed out on the map.

"Hey, there's a Forever 21," Hazel said.

"Oh my gosh, we have to go to Bath and Body Works," Faith said.

"Um...,"I begin. "What's Bath and Body Works?"

Hazels mouth drops.

"You've never been to Bath and Body Works," Faith said in shock.

"Well...no," I replied.

"We have to go there," Hazel said. "But don't worry, I'm sure you'll love it."

"Come on, let's go!" Faith said, gesturing us.

It took a while to get to Bath and Body Works because we took a few wrong turns, so we sort of got lost. But we eventually found the shop.

"So this is Bath and Body works," I said as we entered the shop. Hazel and Faith made me buy a bunch of things that I didn't really want. We payed for the items and left.

"Hazel!" A teenage boy yelled from across the mall.

"Brandon!"

Hazel runs across the mall and gives 'Brandon' a big hug. Faith and I run after Hazel.

"Who's he?" I asked, giving Hazel a look.

"My boyfriend, Brandon Charlie."
