Chapter Four// Grocery shopping,fight and shocking news.

It was a Saturday and mum told me to go Grocery shopping. I decided to go with Alix since I'll be so bored shopping alone.

We kept shopping and wasting our time mostly laughing at some ridiculous things we talked about.

"I'm going to the mall tonight"she said.

"Don't tell me it's for the old bitches cakes"I said and she looked away."if you keep going there,you'll get diabetes. The-"

"I won't. The old people love me and they're nice"

"You swore never to go there again on my birthday"

"Wait-you actually believed me?"she asked as we walked to the counter and I nodded my head disappointedly.

We stepped out of the grocery shop and walked to Alix's car. A crowd caught our attention and I wondered what was happening. I decided that we go home but Alix pushed me to see what was going on.

She dragged me along and we squeezed ourselves to have a clearer view of the scene. My mouth opened unconsciously at what I saw.

EDGAR WAS FIGHTING A MAN!

He looked like he was going to kill him. When he landed a punch on the bloody face of the man on the floor,I screamed. His head snapped up and our eyes locked together.

He looked at me while I kept my hands on my mouth. I pulled Alix and we went back to her car. The memory of the first night we met kept replaying in my head and I tried to get it away. Duncan was right about him. He's bad news.

"Jill,are you okay?"Alix asked as she drove out of the parking lot."you look like you just saw a ghost"

"Yeah,I'm fine"I said and sighed.

"I never imagined it'd be him"

"Me neither"I whispered audibly.

"Why are you so worked up about it?it's not-"

"I'm not. I just wanna go home"

"I still feel like you're hiding something"she said but I said nothing.

We got home and dropped all what we bought in the kitchen then we sprinted to my room. Alix picked up my laptop and suggested that we should watch The Originals.

I went downstairs to get some snacks and mum walked in. At least,she's not drunk.

"Hey mum"I said.

"Hey hon"she said and kissed my forehead before walking over to the fridge.

I won't lie,I love my mother a lot but she scares the shit out of me anytime she's on a date with someone. I just pray she doesn't contact STI.

"Alix's spending the night"

"Oh,okay then. I've got good news"she said while picking out some frozen canned foods from the fridge.

The last time she said that was when she was getting divorced. I didn't like the idea but it saved me from my evil dad who was always beating me up.

"What?"I asked.

"Someone's moving in"

"Moving in?"

"Yeah,well...I need to start raising your fees for college dear. I gotta start"

"But-"

"No,he's moving in"

"He?"

"Yes,he's a boy and he goes to your school by the way"

"You have to be kidding me!"I exclaimed.

"He already explained his rent payment so don't worry about it. He looks like a good kid and he's totally hot"

"Mum"I called"I don't want a housemate"

"Sorry baby but he's moving in tomorrow"

"Tomorrow?!"

"Yeah,babe tomorrow"she said."I've gotta go now. I'll be back"she added,thinking"tomorrow"she took her purse from the counter and dashed out.

She thinks it's cool and she's just telling me now?! Not to mention, HE'S GOING TO MY SCHOOL! TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE!

I don't interact with high school boys apart from Duncan 'cause all they want is to get into my pants which will never happen.
