The children went to find Caspian after he had stormed into the How. Peter wanted to reconcile with Caspian and work together to help the Narnians. They made their way with Trumpkin and Trufflehunter down the hall leading to the cracked stone table. As they all made their way down the hallway they heard voices. Elizabeth picked out a woman's voice, but it was new; she hadn't heard the voice before. They began running down the hall, not knowing what evil they may be about to face.

"Stop!" Peter yelled as they ran into the room. Caspian had a bloody hand stretched toward the White Witch, seeming to be in a trance. Lucy and Trumpkin fought together against Nikabrik, Edmund took the werewolf head on while Elizabeth unsheathed her sword against the hag. Susan took a vantage point on a half wall, aiding her friends where she could with her bow and arrows. As everyone fought against the new foe, Peter went straight for the one who started it all.

"Get away from him!" Peter called, pushing Caspian away from the White Witch's outstretched hand, and aiming his sword straight at her. The Witch was startled by the ferocity of Peter's actions, backing slightly away from the boy. Her intentions soon changed as she saw the opportunity at hand.

"Peter, dear... I've missed you. Come, just one drop." The White Witch offered to Peter. "You know you can't do this alone." She taunted the young King. Peter hesitated, lowering his sword as he began to take in the Witch's offer, falling under her spell. The Witch groaned, the ice that entrapped her cracking. She let out a wretched screech, the ice shattering into millions of pieces, revealing Edmund behind it with his sword where it had penetrated the Witch's icy form.

"I know. You had it sorted." Edmund said gruffly, walking out of the room. The ice had once been between the two pillars, blocking the carving of Aslan from sight. Now, Caspian and Peter looked there, ashamed in their actions. The two boys looked back at Susan and Elizabeth. Elizabeth had blood trickling down her sleeve, proving the hag had not gone down without a fight. The two girls gave the boys a look of disapproval, leaving the boys in the room as they walked to the infirmary.

Peter never left the room, he stayed seated on the Stone Table watching the carving with pleading eyes. He wanted nothing more than Aslan's guidance. Everyone had left, wanting to forget what happened with the White Witch, but Lucy came back and sat next to her oldest brother.

"You're lucky, you know." Peter told his sister.

"What do you mean?" Lucy asked Peter. If anyone was lucky it was her brother. He got to fight the battles while Lucy had to stay behind.

"To have seen him." Peter explained. "I wish he'd just give me some kind of proof." Peter confessed to his sister.

"Maybe we're the ones who need to prove ourselves to him." Lucy spoke wisely, but before Peter could say anything else, Edmund came running in.

"Pete, you'd better come quickly." Edmund told his brother, a worried expression had taken over the young king's features. The three Pevensie children rushed outside, joining Susan and Elizabeth, as well as many other Narnians. They stood on a higher ledge of the How watching as the Telmarine army emerged from the forest borders with Miraz leading them. Everyone quickly headed inside to make plans, time no longer on their side.

"Cakes and kettledrums! That's your next big plan? Sending a little girl into the darkest parts of the forest, alone?" Trumpkin exclaimed, worried about his dear little friend.

"it's our only chance." Peter explained to the dwarf, their only hope now would be for Lucy to find Aslan. Peter only hoped they could keep the Telmarines busy long enough for her to do so.

"And she won't be alone." Elizabeth spoke out. Trumpkin merely looked upon the children with a solemn face.

"Haven't enough of us died already?" Trumpkin questioned them, stricken with grief at the thought of his friend's death only hours ago.

"Nikabrik was my friend too, but he lost hope. Queen Lucy hasn't... and neither have I." Trufflehunter told his friend as he stepped forward.

"For Aslan." Reepicheep quietly proclaimed, unsheathing his sword and bowing.

"For Aslan." A bulgy bear repeated, bowing as well.

"Than I'm going with you." Trumpkin told Lucy.

"No, we need you here." Lucy comforted the dwarf by placing her hand on his shoulder as she denied him to accompany her.

"We have to hold them off until Lucy, Susan, and Elizabeth get back." Peter announced.

"If I may?" Caspian asked stepping forward. Peter gave Caspian a nod of his head, encouraging him to go on. "Miraz may be a tyrant and a murderer, but as King he is subject to the traditions and expectations of his people. There is one in particular that may buy us some time." Caspian explained. The plans were then finalized; the three girls would go out in search of Aslan while Peter dueled with Miraz. Edmund left to take the challenge to Miraz as soon as it was written, and the three girls got the horses ready to go find Aslan.

Helllllooooo!!! I have dedicated this to my awesome friend here on wattpad. I'm super sorry I haven't updated for the past couple of weeks! I've had school, dance, church, traveling this month some and a lot in December so my family was trying to get that all sorted. I had drama with one of my friends because she was mad at me. The reason was because I was 'flirting' with the guy she has a major crush on when in reality he and I are really good friends. I did get that sorted though. I hope to update some more during these crazy times but no promises. Answer this question to get a dedication.
