-------------------5 days pass--------------------
*Demi's POV*
A lot has happened in the past five days. When I got home that night of the white van incident, my parents started to yell at me. Woah, that was crazy. But eventually, I had gotten them to calm down. I explained everything, from where I went the day my biological parents came up until that day. Of course, I left out the details when me and Ms. Gomez almost kissed, and did not mention any of my feelings towards her whatsoever. They were relieved, and then they had gotten extremely excited because I told them about the record deal. They told me how proud they were of me and all of that. They eventually said that they were going to let me live alone, after all I'm 3 months away from turning 18.
Well, if you hadn't noticed by now, today was the day that I'd be flying to Los Angeles. I had all of my clothes and necessary items packed away in my suitcase and ready to go. I picked up the luggage, which weighed more than myself, and brought it downstairs. I dropped it at the doorstep, creating a large "BANG". My mom came rushing my way to see what the noise was. She looked so worried, I couldn't help but laugh a little. "Mom, don't worry. That was only my luggage. But are you ready to go?" My mom nodded and yelled at my dad to hurry up. He came rushing out, buttoning his shirt. He smiled at me, "I'm so proud of my baby girl. I can't wait to see you surrounded by fans and getting nominated for awards and-" "DAD!!" I interrupted. "Yes, Demi?" "Don't get too ahead of yourself. I haven't even recorded a song yet!" I laughed and so did he.
I opened the front door, about to head out to the car. But when I opened the front door, Selena stood waiting. I gasped, not expecting this at all. "H-H-Hi Ms. G-Gomez," I stuttered. She smiled and said, "Hello Demetria. I was stopping by to say goodbye. And I just wanted to let you know that I will be visiting you very often, at least once every couple of months," She smiled, as if this was a good thing. She surrounded me in a warm embrace, and a blinked back the tears. She pulled away, and I smiled. "Thank you, Miss. I won't be seeing you often, but I'll truly miss you," I said softly, blushing and avoiding eye contact. She nodded and continued to smile. "Demi, we should be heading out now. You don't want to miss your flight, dear." My mom called out from behind me. "Yeah, you're probably right." I looked at Selena, in the eyes this time. "Goodbye, Selena." I said, and this time a tear slipped from my eye. She placed her hand on my chin and made me face her. She slowly wiped the tears off of my face and smiled sadly. She looked like she was about to cry, too.
"Don't cry, babe. This won't be the last time you see me." HOLY SHIT SHE CALLED ME BABE. OH MY FUCKING GOD. AM I DREAMING? Ok, Demi, snap out of it. You were obviously dreaming. I gave her one last hug and walked away, my parents following close behind. My mom and dad took seats in the front of the car, while I was just opening the door to the back. I took one last look at Selena, who was watching me closely, and gave her a short wave. She waved back and I entered the car. My parents pulled out of the driveway and made their way to the airport.
------At the airport---------
My parents pulled the car up to the entrance closest to my gate. They got out of the car along with me and helped me get my suitcases out of the trunk. After my dad took out the last bag, he looked at me and said, "Well... I guess this is it." My eyes were filling with tears again. "Yeah, it... it is..." I said through sobs. My mom said, "Promise me you'll make smart choices and be safe." Typical Mom. I nodded. "You're growing up so fast. You weren't supposed to be leaving us this early." Dad told me. Typical dad. "Yeah..." I said softly. My dad couldn't hold it in anymore and pulled me in a long, warm hug. When he pulled away, he smiled and said, "I love you, Demi. Don't forget to call us every day." I said ok and nodded. "Oh, come here." My mom said and wrapped her arms around me. "I'll miss you so much baby girl. I hope you have fun. Now go out there and make some music!" I said my final goodbyes and waved to them as I walked away, luggages at hand. I made my way through customs and got to the gate. I sat down and played with my phone until the loudspeaker went off. "ALL FIRST CLASS TICKET HOLDERS NOW BOARD THE PLANE"
I sighed and stood up. I carried my things with me and waited in line until the person checked my passport and boarding pass. The lady returned my paperwork and smiled, "You may now board, enjoy your flight to LA!" I returned the smile and said, "Thanks and I will!" I walked into the plane and took my seat. This is it. Hollywood here I come.
A/N: Sorry this is a short update, but I'll be updating again this weekend, most likely Saturday night. I am writing slow updates because I am in a very tough school program. I have tons of homework, tests, and projects. So please empathize and don't get mad at me for not updating. Thank you!
