Chapter 22
(That Night)
Rachel's pov:
I was at home cooking dinner for my mom. All I could think about was Finn, he was so upset when I told him I couldn't go out with him on our anniversary but my mom needs me here. I just wish he understood that she needs me right now. I tried to call him but he won't pick up any of my calls. I was in the kitchen when my mom walked in,
"What are you doing Rachel?" She asked me.
"Mom what are you doing out of bed , the doctor you need to rest after chemo ." I told her.
"I have my whole life to rest but right now I'm more concerned about why my daughter isn't with her boyfriend on her five month anniversary." She said .
"I need to be here taking care of you." I said .
"No you need to be with Finn, I can take care of myself ." She told me.
"He hates me." I said sitting down .
"No he doesn't he loves you and you love him. Which is why you need to go to him Rachel. You need to tell him you love him." She said.
"I can't just go." I said.
"Yes you can, so go before I kick you out." She said.
I smiled and kissed her cheek ,
"Thanks mom." I said and left.
(Finns place)
I pulled up in my car and it was pouring out . I saw Finn out in the yard digging a hole for some weird reason when I got out.
"Finn! Finn what are you doing?" I yelled out in the rain.
"Rachel why are you here?" He yelled back.
"I came here to tell you I love you!" I yelled through the storm.
"What?" He yelled still not hearing me.
I came closer to him and said,
"I love you Finn, and I'm so sorry I've been neglecting you lately but you are my best friend and I love you with all my heart and I can't go through this life without beside me ." I told him .
"I'm sorry I got angry earlier , I should've been more understanding." He said .
"It's okay, nobody said this would be easy but I know as long as I have you everything will be okay." I told him .
He held my face and leaned in,
"I love you." He said smiling.
I smiled and said,
"I love you too." I told him and he kissed me passionately in the rain.
"Wait I have something give you." He told me.
"What is it?" I asked him .
He pulled out a box from his jacket and opened it,
"Happy Anniversary." He told me .
I smiled down at the Finn necklace and said,
"I love it and I love you." I said and kissed him again.
