Chapter 28
(1 week later)
Rachels pov:
I was at the park with Quinn feeding the ducks when suddenly I saw my father there.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him.
"Can we just talk?" He begged me .
I looked at Quinn and nodded and she went over by the lake and we started to walk away.
"What do you want?" I asked him.
"I just want a chance to explain myself." He said.
"You did 5 months ago when I flew down just to see you and you shut me out. You left me for what? Because you weren't ready to be a dad? Well let me tell you something I have been through hell and back and I haven't needed you through any of it! But I do need my mom and now she's gone so you can just pack your things and leave and go back to your perfect life because I want nothing to do with you!" I yelled.
I started to storm off when he yelled,
"I'm sorry Rachel!"
I turned around shocked,
"I'm sorry about your mom dying , I'm sorry about what I did in Florida and I'm sorry for abandoning you. You're right I'm a coward and horrible person but I am trying to fix what I've done to you. I want more than anything for you to just give me a second chance to be your father. And I know you have every reason not to forgive me but I want you to know I'm here to stay and I'm going to be here when you're ready." He said.
He started to leave and I stopped him,
"Dad wait!" I cried .
He turned around and I ran crying into his arms.
"Please don't leave me." I said.
He wrapped his arms around me and said,
"It's okay I'm here to stay. " He said and we continued to hug.
