CHAPTER 2
There is something peaceful about the rain. Its soft sound, its damp smell, the way a rainbow appears afterwards. An enchanting event, truly.
But here, the rain was unforgiving. It poured over Bree and seeped deep into her skin. It didn't help that she no longer had clothing to protect her from the elements-or the eyes of passerby.
The trio that found her face-down in a puddle of mud, had first thought she was some kind of dead animal. But as they neared her, they realized that she was a girl, and an injured one at that.
"Her arm is broken. Do you have any — Hey, cut it out!"
"What?!"
"Quit staring at her like that! She needs help."
"I'm just looking. I'm seeing if I recognize her, and I don't. Think she's from the Leaf?"
"No, we would of heard if there was a missing girl. Let's just take her there. It's the closest village."
"Alright I'll carry her — "
"Yeah, right! I'm carrying her. Pass me that blanket in my bag."
"Think she'll be okay?"
"Yeah. Looks like she just has a few broken bones right now, possibly a concussion."
"Okay, Asshole over there and I will do a quick scan of the area to see if anyone's following us then meet you by the river."
"Got it... Hey, can you hear me? It's alright, we're gonna take you to the Leaf Village, okay? You're gonna be alright."

There was light jabbing in Bree's side. She wanted to swat at the person and tell them to knock it off, but her arms felt like jelly. After a few more jabs, someone make a frustrated sound.
"Can you not?" they hissed.
"I'm trying to wake her up. She's been out for days," someone else said, their voice a lot closer.
Wait, did they say days?
"Well, stop. It's irritating."
The two voices began to bicker back and forth, calling each other childish names. Bree heard a rush of footsteps and a door burst open.
"The both of you, out! She needs rest and all of this fussing will...Oh, look, she's waking up." A sigh. "Fine, stay here. But enough fighting." The sound of footsteps retreating.
Bree cracked her eyes open, and a blurry white ceiling came into view.
"Ugh, god...I feel awful," she groaned, forcing herself into a sitting position. The first thing she noticed was that she was sitting in an all white room. The chairs, walls, and door were all white. The only color in the room was herself, and the two boys sitting in front of her. One had bright blue eyes, spiked blond hair, and a huge goofy grin. The other, who seemed much less friendly, had cold, onyx eyes and hair the color of midnight. When Bree moved, his eyes flickered to her, then quickly looked away, as if they had decided she wasn't worth his gaze. The blond one, however, seemed overcome with joy that she had awoken.
"Hey there!" he beamed, flashing a toothy grin. "We were wondering when you'd come around. I'm Naruto, you'll hear my name a lot around here. I'm sort of famous."
The dark-haired one snorted and his eyes flickered back at Bree. "A famous loser," he said.
Blondie-Naruto, did he say his name was?-glared at the boy then turned back to Bree. "So who are ya? Where'ya from?"
