New Mission

I woke up with Rayver just getting inside our hideout. It's raining quite heavy today.

"Rayver?!!! San ka nanggaling this hour? Kakauwi mo lang ba?" I ask while rubbing my eyes.

"I have good news." He said then he went towards Ned's door at kinatok ito.

After a few seconds Ned came out. He yawned.

"What's this all about? Inaantok pa ako." Reklamo nya.

I walk towards the cupboard to make myself some coffee.

Rayver started putting some files on the table.

"Ano yan?" Ned asks as he sat down.

"I am searching those names on the list one by one last night. I thought it was a dead end until I saw one particular name. When I first it a couple of days ago it sounded familiar pero kagabi ko lang naalala why it rings a bell." Rayver said.

I look at the files on the table.

"General Simon Acosta." Rayver continued.

"What about him?" I ask.

"Well that's not his real name. A long time ago our government choose elite soldiers and formed them into one team that perform very special missions. I heard my dad said before that General Simon Acosta is their leader. They are comprised of thirty soldiers all with aliases. This is classified military information so only a few knows about the program. Luckily my old man was one of them." Kwento ni Rayver.

"I still don't get it. Ano namang kinalaman nya? It's just one name Rayver. Anybody could have that name." I said as I sipped on my coffee.

"Yan din ang iniisip ko but it's the only thing that can lead us to anything in that list so I made some diggings here and there."

Inabot sa akin ni Rayver yung isang file. They are pictures of different soldiers.

"Those soldiers there are members of that elite group and their aliases are what's written on the list we have." Rayver said.

"I still don't get it. Why are the shadow organization protecting this list? Are they going to kill them?" Ned asks.

I scan every picture and stopped on one specific photo. My hands started trembling.

"They can't Ned because those guys are already dead for almost eleven years now. After one mission no one returned. Rebels claimed they buried them somewhere."

"Maybe the Shadow Organization did it kaya nila pinoprotektahan. They killed those men." Ned said.

"No." I said with clenched jaw. I put one photo on the table. "This guy is still alive. I've seen him ten years ago. I am positive he is that guy." I said as I pointed at the photo.

"Sigurado ka ba Liam?" Rayver asks.

"Yes." I said as I crumpled the photo.

Ten Years Ago...

Two men drag me inside a room in an underground tunnel with my hands tied behind my back. I saw a hooded guy in between two masked men.

The two men dragging pushed me forward until I fell on the floor.

"Is this the kid? He looks skinny and weak." The hooded guy said.

"Boss this kid has potential. I am telling you. I have good eyes when it comes to this. Atsaka wala naman din syang magagawa. He owes us a lot of money." Raul said.
