In 7th year, Lily and James were in residence in the head boy and girl dormitories. After being convinced by James, Lily(one of the best students in her year) bewitched one of the walls to display muggle movies when tapped in the correct place with a wand. They were never necessarily caught, but many students, and probably some teachers knew about it. If you were lucky, you could watch a movie with them.
