In their 7th year, James was going to propose to Lily in a party when they won the house cup, but when he was about to bend down, she did and she proposed to him. Their the ring James gave Lily was a silver band with "I Love You" and a doe carved into it. The ring Lily gave James was identical, except with a Stag.
