April 3, 2016, WrestleMania 32

This is a surreal moment. My very first WrestleMania and I am the Intercontinental Champion heading into it. This is the biggest show of the year, and everyone has been working so hard to get here. This is the culmination of hard work and dedication. No matter who you are and where you come from in the wrestling world, your main goal is to get to WrestleMania. The few that actually make it on the WrestleMania card are the best of the best in WWE.

I hope Seth is ready, because I sure am, kinda. A promo package plays right before our match, which gets me even more hyped up. I do some cardio workouts because I know Seth is capable of working at a fast pace, and I want to be able to keep up with him in the ring. Seth and I go over a few spots that we want to create, when the match gets really interesting. He has no idea of the beating he is about to receive. He has been a thorn in my side ever since I first arrived to the main roster.  By the way, this match is a Steel Cage match. WWE tends to announce things at the last minute, I guess they wanted to keep it a surprise.

Keep in mind: I am still not at 100%, but I'm going to finish Seth once and for all.

After Seth Rollins makes his entrance, the AT&T Stadium darkens. As my music hits, I descend from the scaffolding above the WrestleMania stage (think Sting's old entrance) wearing a black coat with cut-off sleeves. The Intercontinental Championship is placed on the stage, waiting for me to come down and pick it up. When I make it to the ground, I unbuckle the harness that held me while I was descending and a cloud of smoke appears. Over the top, much? I pick up my Intercontinental Championship, and Seth stares me down, creating the illusion that he doesn't fear me one bit, but deep down inside, he does.  When I get inside the ring, I climb on the second rope and taunt.

The match begins. Seth and I lock up. 5 minutes of chain wrestling has us working at a back and forth pace. All of a sudden, Seth irish whips me into the corner, thinking that he is going to bash my head into the cage. He grabs my head and thrusts it towards the cage, but I manage to anticipate the attack by grabbing a hold of the cage a millisecond before I went head-first into it. I then give him a hard elbow to the stomach, which has him kneeling. I climb to the top rope and attempt to do a diving cross-body, but Seth catches me, lifts me up in a power bomb position and sends me flying into the corner, which does even more damage to my banged-up body. Seth stands back and taunts, to the chagrin of the crowd. 100,000 fans erupt in a chorus of boos around AT&T Stadium. I am in seated position in the corner, writhing in pain. Seth is at the opposite corner and he runs towards me with a vicious knee. I fall forward. He turns me over, stands over me, and begins to talk smack to me.

"I told you you were not in my league! You didn't listen, did you? I am "The Man!" This is MY ring!"- Seth Rollins

I unleash a surprise slap to his face, playing possum.

The crowd pops. I quickly rise to my feet, unleashing a flurry of strikes, leading to me taking Seth by his head while he is groggy on the ropes and throwing him face-first into the cage. I'm back in the match. I notice that Seth is busted wide open, so I inflict more damage by delivering a takedown and going to work on his face. I let out a primal yell, which can be heard by those up close. Psycho Driver time, but I'm going to make it more interesting. I climb up to the top turnbuckle with Seth in the perfect finisher position. Seth is stretched across my shoulders while I'm on the top rope, and I flip him over, driving both of us into the mat.

"THIS IS AWESOME! *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap* *clap,* THIS IS AWESOME! *clap* *clap* *clap* clap* *clap*" explodes throughout AT&T Stadium.

2 minutes of lying motionless on the ground and I use all the remaining strength I have to try to climb the cage, which takes me forever. Thankfully, Seth is too beat-up to try to stop me. When I get to the top of the cage, I descend to the arena floor, landing back-first to the ground.

A well-deserved victory for yours truly. Meanwhile, I'm struggling to get to my feet because of my injured back. Those types of matches can take years off of your career. When I get to my feet, the ref on the outside hands me the Intercontinental Championship and raises my arm. I fall to one knee. The ref helps me get backstage.

As I reach the "Gorilla position" (the area you go through right before you come through the curtain), the guys in the back give me a standing ovation. I put my body on the line for the 100,000 strong at WrestleMania 32 and the millions watching live, on the WWE Network. I wouldn't have it any other way.

(9:15 pm)

I am currently sitting backstage looking at the rest of the event, and the fans are fired up after that match. The Women's Championship Fatal-4-Way match is happening now, and I can't wait to see the Four Horsewomen show the fans what the #WomensRevolution is about. I'm glad they got rid of that stupid butterfly belt (I'm sounding like Sasha right now), and the women are now being treated with the proper respect they deserve.

All of a sudden, I get called to the Trainer's Room to get some X-rays done on me. When I get there, the doctor does the x-rays and notices something fractured in my lower back. Oh man. He then tells me that I'm going to have to get some surgery done on it in a couple of weeks. He doesn't mention anything about me relinquishing my championship; that's up to the creative team to decide. After discussing it with the creative team, they come to a conclusion that I will be out of action, but it is uncertain for how long.
