she wore a smile like a loaded gun.
Cass pulled her things out of her duffle bag onto her dorm room bed, her roommate no where in sight. A knock on her door startled her, and she turned around to see someone she'd been hoping both that she would and wouldn't see. James Kirk. He was wearing his standard cadet uniform, bright red.
"Nice outfit," she said with a smirk before turning back to her unpacking. He walked closer to her.
"Well, I have you to thank for it," He whispered words into her ear and Cass felt her spine tingle slightly.
"I know what you're thinking," she said calmly, forcing her face to remain blank and moving away from him, "and it's never happening again, Kirk." He smirked at her, and Cass felt her pulse speed up. Why did she get the feeling that he knew she wasn't nearly as sure about this as she was acting.
"Kirk now? That's not what you were calling me when I banged your brains out," Cass scoffed half-heartedly.
"You didn't bang my brains out," she said, her breathing shaky more.
"Yes, I did," he chuckled slightly.
"Well," Cass spluttered, searching for her words, "it's never happening again."
"Why not?" he asked innocently. Cass looked as though she was about to scream at him.
"Because," she let out a noise of frustration, "because basically, you're not worthy of-"
"don't you like having your brains banged out?" he'd moved closer to her again, and Cass's breathing was heavy again, every inch of her telling to just give in. she put her hand on his chest as he leaned in, stopping him.
"No one must ever know," she said sternly. He nodded, leaning in again. "And, we're still free to have other relationships. No strings attached?" she looked almost anxiously at him, waiting for him to answer her.
"No strings attached." His mouth connected with hers once again, and Cass sighed relief into the kiss.
