Chapter 10

~~~ How dare you ~~~

   It was 2 weeks since me and Joel broke up. Oli had felt horrible, he didn't mean it to go this far. It never really was him though...it was Maddie. Maddie had began dating Oli so she moved in with him. Yammy would occasionally come over...and I had lost my mojo for uploading videos.

   I walked lazily down to the kitchen for breakfast, when I realized I had to catch up on my big brother.

   "I'm so mad Bridgette left..." I sighed, making my own coffee. I had a bagel in the bread basket and some left over cream cheese. I slapped it on and sat on the couch.

   "Tonight on BIIGGGGG BROTHER!" The announcer voice said. I've always wondered who had voiced that.

   The dramatic music of Big Brother played and I took a bite into my bagel.

   It was Tuesday in the month of December. I was still in my state of sadness.

Bringggg! Briiiiing!

I got up out of my bed to go answer the phone.

"Hello?" I asked sleepily.

"Lizzie?"

"Uhm, yeah. Who is this?" I replied.

"It's umm...Maddie." I almost dropped the phone. Me and Maddie hadn't talked in a long time.

"O-o-o-" I tried to speak but I couldn't.

"Joel's in the hospital. I couldn't keep it from you." Maddie said quickly. So? Why did I care?

"Thanks." I huffed.

"Don't you wanna...see him?" Maddie asked confused.

"No." I snapped.

"Oh..." I heard whispers in the background.

I didn't say anything. I wasn't in the mood to talk.

"Joel's fine. This was A PRANK! BYE LOSER!" Maddie yelled and hung up. I knew Joel was fine. He had just uploaded a video 23 minutes ago. I walked to my bedroom to get dressed. I guess Maddie was still pranking me.

Oli had tried to invite me over but I refused to go. Yammy had invited me to a Christmas party and I said no. I was really helpless without Joel. I realized I needed to pick myself up and brush myself off. Time to start being me again!

I was finally able to upload a video to YouTube after a month. It was a video of me playing crazy craft. I had got a baby dragon. I wanted to prank Joel...but I just couldn't face myself to do it.

Text messages

Yammy: OMG LIZZIE! YOU UPLOADED! WERE GOING FOR ICE CREAM BE READY!

Lizzie: Haha, okay

Yammy: GONNA BE THERE IN 5!

I realized I was still in my sweats and hoodie, so I figured I had to change quickly. I threw on a vidcon t-shirt with a pair of jeans and a leather brown coat. I ran my fingers through my hair as the doorbell rang. Man she was quick!

   "LIZZIE LIZZIE LIZZIE!!" Yammy squealed and gave me a hug. "Lets go!"

   "Okay okay!" I laughed as I was pulled out the door. I sat in the passenger seat as Yammy drove to the nearest ice cream parlor.

   "So Lizzie? There's a Christmas party I wanted to invite you to." Yammy started. I nodded. Sounded like fun I guess.

   "Okay." I replied.

   "But there's a um...catch. I understand if you don't wanna go or if you punch me." She worriedly exclaimed. I never liked catches to fun things.

   "Joel's going?" I twisted my mouth to the side.

   "No...well, yes. But that's not the catch." Yammy tried to explain.

   "It's tonight?" I questioned.

   "No..." Yammy looked down. "It's tomorrow."

   "Yeah I'm all out of ideas." I laughed and took a bite of my strawberry ice cream.

   "It's at Joel's place. He texted you about it, you probably didn't read it. He texted me to invite..." She tried to finish but I shushed her.

   Of course I read the text from Joel. And of course I didn't reply back.

   "I'll go, Yammy." I shrugged and took another bite causally. I didn't want to make a big deal about. I mean? Christmas was my favorite time of the year, and I loved Christmas parties.

   "OH MY GOD LI-!" Yammy started to scream but I put my hand on her mouth.

   "Don't make a big deal about it." I laughed as she sighed in relief.

   Hello everyone! I want to really, really, really apologize! I feel so bad that this chapter took so long! I can explain why.
First, it's back to school season! I have been busy finishing reports, getting my school supplies together, go outfit shopping, and planning out my schedule  for after school activities. That has taken up a good part of my last few weeks of summer. Next, I was really stumped on exactly what I was going to write about next. I have re-written this chapter 4 times! This was the 5th and final copy. The next chapter, as you may guess, is going to be intense. And lastly, I planned on uploading this chapter 2 days after the previous one to leave some suspense, but I didn't mean it to be more then a week! I hope you can understand and forgive me, I will try to be more active when school starts! I love you all and thanks for reading!
